A/N: This is a random one-shot of how I think the characters of Sailor Moon would react behind the scenes of my story, Unexpected, Unpredicted Love. The Sailor Moon world is real in this bit!
Warning: There is shoujo ai (and one instance of two males kissing) in this! At times, some of the characters will be OOC (Out Of Character), purely for the sake of silliness and humor. This story mainly consists of dialogue. Oh, and I have self-inserted myself into this chapter!
Pre-Chapter One: Unheard Words
"Eh!? Usagi-chan agreed to play as Yaten-kun's love interest!?"
"That's right, Ami-chan! Who knew Usagi-chan was interested in such things?"
Makoto sweat dropped. "Minako-chan, stop leering at Usagi-chan."
Rei put her hand on her hips and huffed down at the script, "Why does Usagi-baka get all of the love interests? Where's my love interest?"
In record time, Minako handed off both her and Rei's scripts to Ami and circled her arms around the pyro senshi's middle. "Don't worry, Rei-chan, I'll be your love interest." the blonde purred suggestively.
The raven-haired woman's face burned scarlet. "M-M-Minako-chan!"
A light flush spread across Makoto's cheeks, eyes glued to her two entangled friends. "How bold."
Ami frowned contemplatively. "I'm not sure how Haruka-san will react to this..."
The blood drained from the other girls faces.
...
"Oh? Violette-san's script came."
"What's it about, Michi?"
"Hm... 'Unexpected, Unpredicted Love: A romance between Yaten Kou/Sailor Star Healer and Tsukino Usagi'."
CRASH!
"Haruka?"
"That... That outsider is dead!"
...
"Yaten-kun?"
"I... have a feeling someone has malicious intent toward me..."
Chapter One: Unheard Words
"Ready, Usagi-chan?"
"Hai!"
"Action!"
Usagi reached into a pocket... and then the other one. After a quick pat down, she jumped up and began looking frantically around the bench.
"What's wrong, Usagi-chan?"
"I can't find the iPod, Violette-san."
...
"Did you guys find it?"
"Yes, Violette-san!" Ami answered.
"Where was it?"
"It was in Usagi-chan's refrigerator."
"...I hope it still works..."
...
"Are you ready this time, Usagi-chan?"
"Hai~!"
"Alright then, action!"
Usagi pulled the iPod from her pocket, put the ear buds in her ears, and turned it on. She paused, blinked, then pressed play. Seconds ticked by, then she pressed it again... and again... and again.
"Is there something wrong, Usagi-chan?"
Usagi's eyes met Violette's. "It won't play."
...
"But the girls say they haven't spoken to you in two years. They haven't seen you at all, in fact; all they have to know that you are alive is the-the... the... Damn. What was the line again?"
...
"I haven't hung out with the girls in two years! I haven't seen Michiru-san, Haru-KAH? H-Hey! Haruka-san! What are you doing here? You're not in this sce—Put me DOWN! WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME!?"
...
"Violette-san."
"Setsuna-san, you're back! Is Haruka-san gone?"
"You need not worry about her interference anymore. Michiru-san has effectively distracted her."
"...That gleam in your eye is disconcerting, Setsuna-san..."
"Is that so?"
...
She broke free from his grasp, turned, and—
SMACK!
—fell face down to the ground.
"Owie!"
"A-Are you okay, Usagi-san?" Yaten asked uncertainly. He leaned back a bit when the blonde looked up at him, eyes glassy from unshed tears. She nodded.
"Do you have any injures?"
She shook her head.
Still a bit uncertain, the silver-haired Starlight nodded. "Good." When the blonde didn't move, instead gazing up expectantly at him, Yaten's brow furrowed. "What?"
A flicker of indignation flashed in her eyes. "Help me up?"
"Why?"
"Eh?"
"Why should I help you up?"
Usagi spluttered. "Wha-Why shouldn't you? It's polite!"
Yaten blew his bangs out of his eyes, annoyed. "You're not hurt. I don't see why I should help you up."
Incensed, Usagi jumped to her feet. "How rude! You should have better manners!"
Yaten shrugged carelessly.
She grit her teeth. "Listen, you—"
"Jeez, you're so annoying!" He rolled his eyes. "Just get over it. You weren't hurt. We have to start the scene over, again."
"It wasn't my fault we had to start the scene over last time!'
"It was you who randomly walked off to get a snack ten minutes before our break!"
"I can't help I was hungry!"
"Whatever. I'm out of here. Call me when you're ready to get back to work."
"As if! You call me when you're ready to apologize!"
...
"Hello? Taiki-san? Hey, this is Violette—yes, I know, he won't answer my phone calls. Listen, I have a favor to ask about tomorrow night..."
...
"Violette-san?"
"Yes, Ami-chan?"
"Seiya-san said you had something to do with Usagi-chan and Yaten-san showing up tonight."
"Yup!"
"What did you do?"
"Let's just say, I'm very persuasive."
"...Violette-san, your smirk is a little scary."
Chapter Two: Damaging Reason
"Seiya-san?"
"Yes, Violette-san?"
"You do know it's not your break, right? And that we're in the middle of a scene?"
Seiya nodded. "Of course!"
"Then why are you eating?"
"Why? Because I'm hungry!"
"He's no different from Usagi-baka." Rei muttered.
"He's a glutton." Yaten agreed.
"What was that, Shorty?!" barked Seiya.
"You heard me! And don't call me short!"
"I'm only saying the truth, Shorty!"
"Taiki-san, could you please...?"
"Of course, Violette-san."
...
"Sluuuurrrrrrrrp!"
"Seiya-san, put down the soda and get back to work, please."
...
"Let me get this straight, Violette-san: You want me to... summon my Star Seed."
"Yes."
"And pretend like I'm in pain."
"Yes."
"And pretend to have a mental breakdown."
"Yes."
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
...
"So, this is why you called us here, Rei? To welcome them back?"
Minako snapped to attention, spine erect.
"Hai. They say they are here for a reason." the princess of Mars answered.
"Mako-chan."
The brunette met her blonde friend's gaze. "What?"
"Haruka-san is... really getting into her role, isn't she?"
The two Inners turned to the Outer senshi in question. Black aura practically radiated from Haruka—if looks could kill...
"Yeah, she really is."
Minako studied the sandy blonde. "Hey, isn't she looking at Yaten-kun?"
"Is she?"
"She totally is!"
"I thought she was supposed to be looking at Seiya-kun, though."
"She is. Do you think Haruka-san's upset because Usagi-chan is—"
"AINO-SAN! KINO-SAN! QUIET ON THE SET!"
The girls jumped and squeaked, "Yes, ma'am!"
...
"Hello? Taiki Kou speaking."
"Taiki! I found out some information about—"
"Seiya? Seiya, is that you? Hiiii~!"
"Tsukino-san, please be quiet! You aren't supposed to be in this part!"
"But I want to talk to Seiya, too!"
"Not right now! We're at the end of a scene."
"Taiki, why is Odango with you...?"
A brief pause. "Tsukino-san heard I was making cookies..."
"They taste soooo good! Almost as good as Mako-chan's!"
"...Jeez, you two..."
...
"Violette-san, do you know where Juuban Park is?" Pause. "How do you not—nevermind, forget it. Baka gaijin."
...
"Hello?"
"Aino-san, it's Yaten. Do you—"
"Yaten-kun! I'm so happy you called! Go to dinner with me tonight! I—"
"DO YOU KNOW where Juuban Park is?"
"Juuban Park? Oh, you're so romantic, Yaten-kun! A starlit dinner for two! When are you—hello? Hello?"
...
"You have reached the Mizuno residence. I am not home at the moment. Please leave your name—"
"Damn it."
...
"Juuban Park? Yes, I know where it is. What street are you on?" Pause. "Wow, you're really far away. Okay, take the first left—"
"MAKO-CHAN! YOUR PIE IS BURNING!"
"WHAT!? Rei-chan, you were supposed to watch that! Sorry Yaten-kun, gotta go! Bye!"
...
"Taiki-san, have you heard from Yaten-kun in the last couple hours? He's forty minutes late for the take." Pause. "What!? How did he end up in Yamagata!?"
...
"This is the voicemail of Yaten Kou. I won't come to the phone right now because I don't want to talk to anyone. Don't bother leaving your name or number; I won't get back in touch with you today. Especially you, Violette-san!"
...
"Thank you for driving Yaten-kun here, Chiba-san. I'd hate to have a repeat performance of the other night's fiasco."
Chapter Three: Real
"Usagi-chan, relax your face. While you're smile is beautiful, you need to appear stoic."
The Moon princess blinked. "Stoic? What is that? A snack?"
"..."
...
"This shot is perfect!" Violette exclaimed, grinning broadly. "On the fifty-seventh try, no less!"
Setsuna blinked. "Your stubbornness is admirable, Violette-san."
"I don't like giving up."
"WAH!"
"..."
"..."
"The wind is pretty strong tonight, ne?"
"...I'll just cut out that last bit. Yeah, no one needs to see Usagi-chan getting hit in the face with her own hair..."
...
"I have something important to say. I—"
"Wait, Usagi-chan," Makoto interrupted. "What about Seiya-kun?"
Usagi frowned. "Seiya?"
"Yeah. He likes you, you know?"
"Well, of course he does! We're friends!"
"Um... well, Usagi-chan, I mean he likes you more than as a friend."
The blonde tilted her head. "Huh?"
Rei snickered. "Don't bother, Mako-chan. Usagi-baka won't get it."
Cerulean eyes narrowed at the priestess. "What did you say, Rei-chan?" Usagi hissed, irritation coloring her words.
"What? Didn't you hear me? I said you wouldn't get it, baka Usagi!" Rei sneered.
"You're the baka, Rei!"
"Is that all you can come up with, baka?"
Michiru chuckled delicately into her hand. "How cute. If I didn't know any better, I'd say those two liked each other. Maybe this should be a romance about Hino-san and Usagi-san?"
The two girls in question whipped their heads toward the senshi of Neptune and simultaneously shouted, "NO WAY!"
Haruka frowned at the teal-haired woman. "Don't say such disturbing things, Michi."
Michiru raised a slim eyebrow in response. "Is it so disturbing? Or are you just jealous it isn't about you and our dear princess?"
Pink lightly dusted the sandy blonde's cheeks. "Michi, that's not it.."
Makoto sighed good-naturedly. "We're way off script."
Minako, who had been previously torn between watching her two close friends argue and grinning at Haruka, commented offhandedly, "It's your fault, Mako-chan."
The brunette blinked. "What?"
"It is," Ami piped up. "You said the wrong name."
"I did?"
"Yes. You were supposed to mention Mamoru-san, not Seiya-kun."
"...Ah."
...
Usagi looked down. "I... I fell in love with someone else," she admitted quietly.
"Is it me?" Haruka asked seriously.
"Eh?"
"If it is, you will never be unhappy."
"Eh!?'
"I will take care of you for the remainder of my days."
"EHHH!?"
"You will never be dissatisfied in be—"
"HARUKA-SAN!"
...
"AHHHHHH!"
"USAGI-CHAN!" The voices of her friends cried out.
One moment, magenta light exploded from the idols' apartment, blinding all in the vicinity. In the next, Sailor Star Maker stood with her arms full of none other than Sailor Moon.
The Sailor Senshi wasted no time in frantically rushing over to the two.
"Are you alright. Usagi-chan!?" asked Ami.
Sailor Moon nodded at the bluenette. "Yes!" Cerulean eyes swiveled up to stare at her savior. "You're amazing! You were so fast; like Haruka-san!"
"Of course I am fast." The brunette carefully set the blonde senshi onto her feet and steadied her. "I am a senshi of the stars."
Usagi beamed. "Thank you for saving me!" Standing up on her tip toes, the blonde gave the taller woman a peck on the cheek.
Sailor Star Maker's face flushed.
"Why is everyone interested in Koneko-chan?" Haruka growled under her breath, a hint of her sulky attitude coloring her tone.
Michiru, the closest to the sandy blonde and likely the only one to have heard the woman, slyly answered, "Who could not be?"
Haruka choked on her own saliva. "Wh-WHAT!? Are you interested in Koneko-chan too, Michi?"
The teal-haired woman winked. "Who knows?"
...
"How do you figure? She can apply to school and change her appearance, but she can't change that she is Usagi Tsukino at heart."
"Rei—"
"..."
"..."
The soft crinkle of a page turning sounded in the awkward silence.
"Ami-chan!" Minako, Makoto and Rei shouted simultaneously.
The bluenette jumped, startled. "Yes?"
"What are you doing, Ami-chan? It's your line!" Minako scolded, wagging a finger at the genius.
Ami had the grace to look chastised. "O-Oh... I'm sorry. Where were we?"
...
"I know they found her," a sandy blonde growled aloud. "They found her and have her with them. Who knows what they could be doing to our future!"
A gentle hand placed itself on the blonde's arm. Leaning in, Michiru whispered conspiratorially, "Do you think they're doing ecchi things to our princess?"
Haruka's entire face turned a vibrant shade of crimson.
"NOT ON MY WATCH, THEY'RE NOT!"
Chapter Four: Tension Among Senshi
"Hmm..."
"Is something wrong, Usagi-chan?"
"Well, how should I put this..." Usagi muttered more to herself than anyone else, then turned to address Violette, one hand clutching the script while the other scratched confusedly at her head. "How are there going to be four of me?"
"Oh! We'll use green screen. First, we'll film you as the present you, saying the lines. Then, you'll "become" Princess Serenity and say "her" lines. Finally, we'll dress you in your middle school uniform and make you look as young as possible so you can say your "younger self's" lines. We have another actress playing as your child self." Violette smiled. "Do you understand?"
"...Not really..."
...
"..."
"..."
"..."
"You don't like me much, do you, Violette-san?"
"No offense, Chiba-san, but I'd choose almost anyone else to be with Usagi-chan over you."
"Is that why I appear so little in this story?"
"...No comment."
...
"How is..." Seiya trailed off as Usagi peeked open an eye and beckoned both he and Taiki over with one hand.
With twin expressions of confusion, the two men obeyed, approaching her. Taiki stopped at the head of the bed with Seiya at his side.
"Yes, Tsukino-san?"
Usagi flashed them a smile before pretending to once more be asleep.
Silence.
The two men exchanged a look before Seiya prodded at Usagi's covered side. "Odango?"
No response.
Yaten, finally taking the hint that this wasn't in the script, sat up, looking at the blonde woman. "Hey, what do you think you're—"
Usagi's eyes flew open and, with a cry of "AHA!", she yanked the two standing men onto the bed. Taiki was the most surprised, not having suspected her mischievousness, and ended up toppling into Usagi. Seiya, on the other hand, who had been a little suspicious of her odd behavior, caught himself on his knees on the bed, saving himself from crashing face first into the blonde's knee.
He couldn't save himself from lip locking with Yaten, though.
A split second later, Seiya and Yaten sprung apart, spluttering and wiping at their mouths.
"Jeez, Yaten, what do you use, extra thick lip gloss?"
"It's cherry chapstick, one. Two, when was the last time you used any chapstick!? Your lips are as dry and cracked as a desert!"
"They are not! And it's none of your business, anyway! I don't want to kiss you."
Yaten sneered. "That, we can both agree on."
A garbled sound, something between a squeak and a surprised moan, interrupted their argument. As one, two sets of eyes shot to the other two occupants on the bed; their jaws dropped.
Taiki hovered over Usagi, fingers tangled in silken, golden tresses. Something akin to shock glittered in his violet eyes. Neither moved, for a long moment, the brunette assessing the blonde while the other was frozen in amazement, before his eyes lowered to half-mast in pleasure. Oblivious to his audience, Taiki hesitantly sucked the Moon princess's lip into his mouth, earning him a definite moan and a deeper blush.
Before Seiya or Yaten could do anything, the crack of splintering wood followed by the slam of iron against plaster had all four of the occupants looking, lightning quick, toward the bedroom door. In the entrance stood an enraged Sailor Uranus, followed by a serene Sailor Neptune.
Taking in the scene of three men on the bed with Usagi, one of them being on top of her, Uranus roared, "WHAT DO YOU THREE PERVERTS THINK YOU'RE DOING TO MY PRINCESS!?"
...
"By the way, Queen Serenity, you never told me why you agreed to be a part of this."
"I wish to spend time with my daughter."
Violette simply nodded. "I won't begrudge you that."
"I also wish to see who can provide the greatest happiness and love for her."
"...So basically, you're sizing everyone up and seeing if they're worthy of your daughter."
Queen Serenity smiled.
...
"You want us to turn against our child?"
"No, I want you to pretend to turn against your child, Haruka-san."
"What kind of author are you, making parents turn on their own children! We're not going to fight our daughter!"
"You stole her Star Seed during the battle with Galaxia."
"...Those were extenuating circumstances."
"..."
"Haruka-san, the way you're looking at me while you pet your sword has me on edge."
"..."
"This is the first time your smile has ever made me uneasy."
"Good!"
"Haruka-papa, stop being mean to Violette-san. This is just an act; I know you guys won't really try to harm me."
"You're an angel, Hotaru-chan!"
"Besides, if she tries anything too out of bounds, I'm sure I can... help her make a better decision." Hotaru smiled sweetly as she caressed her glaive.
"...Like mother, like daughter."
...
"So, I heard you don't like Mamo-chan."
"I have never interacted with Chiba-san personally."
"That's not a 'no', Violette-san."
"It isn't a 'yes', either."
"Fair enough." Chibiusa rocked back on her heels as she folded her hands behind her back. "What do you think of me, then?"
"What do I think of you?"
"Mhm. You love Usagi, but you don't seem to like Mamo-chan. So, how do you think of me?"
"First of all, I don't project a parent's image onto a child; just because a parent is one way, does not mean their child will be the same. Second of all, I don't personally know you, so I can't really give a solid opinion. That being said, I always thought you were a major brat as a kid; you had a good heart, though."
"...You're honest."
"I feel no reason to lie to you, when you're old enough to understand what I'm saying."
"Will you tell me why you like the Starlights with my mom instead of my dad, then?"
"...Ask me when you're older."
Chapter Five: Acceptance
"I do not think the involvement of Small Lady is necessary, Violette-san."
"Setsuna-san, it is absolutely crucial I involve Chibiusa-chan."
"I do not see how."
"Since this is a story with Usagi-chan and Yaten-kun, I have to show Chibiusa-chan's struggle. If I don't, it will have people wondering why she isn't introduced. I don't like leaving gaping holes in a story, either."
"And yet, at the end, you don't explain—"
"NO SPOILERS ALLOWED! And that's for open the reader's interpretation!"
...
"Sailor Star Healer, was it? I know about you; you protected Serenity from Chaos, as did your comrades. You have my thanks."
"Of course, Queen Serenity."
"I also know of your treatment toward my daughter beforehand. How do you intend to make it up to her?"
"Doesn't saving her life make it up to her?"
"..."
"There's a circus coming to town next week."
"What an excellent start."
...
"You're making us turn against one another, Violette-san!" Rei accused.
"No, I'm showing everyone your convictions. Conflict to the point of violence almost always makes a story more interesting."
"If that baka cries because you're making us show each other our "convictions", you're the one who'll have to pay the price for that... with Haruka-san."
Violette couldn't repress the shiver that ran down her spine.
...
"I'll go," Fighter said after a few minutes, straightening.
Maker's eyes studied her leader briefly. The brunette knew that wasn't the best decision, and voiced her opinion.
"No, I should go."
The raven shook her head. "It's best if I go, Maker. I've had more contact with them." The taller opened her mouth and began to say something, but Fighter raised her hand to cut off her friend. "Don't worry," she said with a small smile, "Odango won't see this."
A shadow fell over Sailor Star Fighter's face, her eyes gleaming with the promise of pain as she hissed, "Don't you dare do anything ecchi to Odango while I'm gone."
"O-Of course not..."
...
"I thought one of the major rules of parenthood was to not involve a child in adult issues?" Ami wondered aloud.
"It is, but as I told Setsuna-san, I have to involve Chibiusa-chan, else I'm leaving a gaping hole in the story."
"Don't talk as if I'm not here! And I'm not a child!"
...
Her fingertips gently caressed Healer's exposed cheek, watching as the frown slipped away, a semi-contented look appearing on her now peaceful face.
"Thank you, Healer," she whispered. She leaned over and gave the man a soft, lingering kiss on his cheek.
A giggle answered his blushing face.
...
"Don't look down to the street, please."
Usagi peered curiously at Maker. "Why?"
The brunette took the Moon princess's free hand in her own as she stepped closer to the blonde.
"I wish for you to remain happy. If you look outside, Violette-san will make you cry."
Usagi blinked. "What? But Violette-san's been nice to me this whole time..."
Maker opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, Yaten appeared behind the blonde. He put his hands on the shorter woman's shoulders and pulled her back against his chest.
"Oi, Maker, back off! This is a romance between me and Usagi, not you and Usagi!"
...
"Koneko is not in love with you!"
"Well, duh. This isn't that type of story. Maybe in the next one, though..."
"Over my dead body!"
"Come on, why do I have to kill you to have romance with Odango? I'll just ask Michiru-san to help me distract you or something."
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
"Hahaha—ACK! No! Stay away from me! That sword is sharp, you know? Didn't anyone ever teach you not to run with sharp objects!? Michiru-san! Odango! Someone! Help me!"
...
Chibiusa gazed deeply into the Starlight's sapphire eyes, one thumb rubbing her chin in thought as the other hand rested on her hip. "Well, you aren't ugly, and from what I hear, you're really close to Usagi... maybe a little too close, though. How can I exist if you try to steal her?"
"Ah, well... you don't have to worry about that?"
"I don't?"
"No, you don't. This romance is between Odango and Healer. I'm Fighter."
"Oh."
"How come you wouldn't exist if Odango is close to me?"
"Well, it's not really you, but rather, anyone. I'm—"
"NO ORIGINAL SAILOR MOON SPOILERS, EITHER!"
...
"You know, Luna-chan, you're taking your minor role very well."
"Were you expecting me to act differently?" Luna asked curiously.
"Yes," Violette admitted. "I thought you would... disapprove more."
"Fact is, you portrayed my character rather well: I support the girls in whatever they choose to do with their life. I may not agree with it, but I won't try to control them, either. Besides, I believe in my princess and prince; they would do whatever it took to make sure Chibiusa-chan existed. That's how much they love that little girl."
...
Sailor Moon took one look around her group of friends before flinging her arms around Maker's shoulders and promptly bursting into tears.
"WAHHHHHHHH!"
Sailor Star Maker hugged the Moon princess tightly, eyes wide with discomfort. "A-Ah, please don't cry!"
The Inner Senshi wasted no time rushing to their leader's side.
"Usagi-chan, it's alright!" Sailor Jupiter said soothingly, patting her friend on the shoulder.
"We're not really fighting." Sailor Venus quickly assured her princess.
"B-But," Sailor Moon stammered, "you used your most powerful attacks!"
"We're supposed to," The emerald-eyed senshi informed the crying woman. "That's what this scene is about."
Ami asked softly, "Did you forget to read this section of the script, Usagi-chan?"
With a watery sniffle, Usagi nodded.
Violette shuddered suddenly, feeling as though the very air around her dropped twenty degrees. Then she blinked uncomfortably and met Sailor Mars's gaze. With a smirk, the pyro senshi mouthed, "I told you so."
The author's face turned as white as a sheet as the subtle sound of knuckles cracking reached her ears.
...
"Okay, Violette-san, you must have gone off the deep end if you think I'll aim an attack at Maker while she has my princess in her arms."
"Now, Uranus—"
"Don't you "Now, Uranus" me! This is going too far!"
"I agree with Sailor Uranus, Violette-san," injected Sailor Pluto. "You are going too far. I would never turn on my princess or presume I am justified in ordering her to do anything she didn't want to do."
"Oh for Pete's sake! This is fake, people! FAKE! It's not real! Please remember that and just play your parts!"
"..."
"I agree with them," Tuxedo Mask spoke up. "I don't feel comfortable with throwing—"
"Everyone take five."
...
"Hello?" Sailor Maker called out across the deserted ruins of the Moon Kingdom. "Sailor Moon?" Pause. "Healer?" Another pause. "Violette-san?"
Silence.
"Great..."
...
Uranus glowered, muttering to herself, "...end up so far away... should have arrived at the palace by now..."
The raven haired Starlight didn't hear everything, but she understood the gist of it. "Hoh~?" With a grin spreading from one ear to the other, Fighter teased, "Have you finally stopped fighting the script?"
Sailor Uranus's left eye twitched.
"That probably won't stop you from being lonely, right?"
"Shut your mouth before I shut it for you," the Outer senshi ordered.
Undeterred, Fighter continued cockily, "If you want, I could keep you company tonight—"
"WORLD SHAKING!"
...
"What are you doing over there, Neptune!?" Venus demanded, startling the teal-haired woman from her thoughts.
"Pardon?"
"Come here!" Venus' hand reached out and grabbed Neptune's, pulling the Outer senshi into the group hug, oblivious to the other three staring at her as if she had grown a second head.
Neptune coughed delicately. "Venus?"
"Yes?"
"...Your hand is on my bottom."
"Oh, sorry!"
...
"Jupiter?"
"Yes, Chibi Moon?"
"Can we make sugar cookies when we go home?"
Sailor Jupiter beamed. "Of course!"
"Can we shape them into hearts and stars? Oh, maybe even—"
"Girls, we're in the middle of a scene here!"
...
Sailor Star Healer's arm circled Sailor Moon's waist and pulled the blonde against her body, her gloved fingers teasing small circles into her fuku a moment before settling possessively against her hip. The Moon princess's face flushed, her lips parting and wetting them nervously with her tongue. Healer groaned inwardly. With her other leather-clad hand, she cupped Sailor Moon's cheek.
"I'm going to kiss you now," the Starlight whispered.
"O-Okay..." Usagi breathed.
Their faces gravitated toward one another. When their lips were just a hair's breadth away, Healer paused, searching for any sign of doubt. Instead, she was greeted with cerulean eyes closing and giving the faintest of nods of consent.
Not needing to be told twice, Healer's own forest green eyes slid shut...
A shrieking poster of Queen Beryl hurdled through the air toward the couple. Sailor Moon jumped and gave an even louder shriek of shock and fear when she spotted it. Healer shoved the Moon princess behind her, shouting, "Star Sensitive Inferno!" The poster immediately turned to ash.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Immediately, the silver-haired senshi rounded on the author. "That... was... not... funny, Violette-san." Sailor Star Healer growled.
Violette wiped a tear from her eyes, trying to stifle her guffaws. "Yes it was! HAHAHA!" Eyes blazing angrily, the Starlight aimed her Star Yell at Violette. The author's amusement died in her throat. "W-W-W-Wait, Healer! I'm a civilian! Don't—"
"STAR SENSITIVE INFERNO!"
...
"Alright, guys, break's over! Time to get back to work!"
"Hai!"
Sailor Moon waved at her friends, as they dispersed, getting into their positions once again. The Moon princess popped the last cracker into her mouth, stood, and promptly slipped on the table cloth, letting out a yelp.
"Whoa!" exclaimed Mamoru. His two arms circled the princess's waist to prevent her from greeting the ground with her face. Usagi looked up into Mamoru's sapphire eyes as he steadied her.
"Are you alright?" he asked concernedly.
The blonde nodded and beamed up at him. "Hai!" She squeezed his arm lightly in thanks.
The sharp, blaring shriek of a whistle made the two jump, startled. In a flash, Violette stood between Usagi and Mamoru, one hand on each of their shoulders to keep them separated.
"Absolutely no MamoUsa; not even behind the scenes! I don't ship it!"
Epilogue
"And that's a wrap, everyone! Good job!"
"YAY! Time to be treated by Haruka-san!" Sailor Moon cheered.
"What!? That was a line from the script! I'm not really doing it!"
The blonde sniffed, eyes tearing up, "You're not?"
"W-Well..." Uranus faltered at her princess's pleading stare, "I guess I could..." she muttered.
Instantly, the tears evaporated. Usagi threw her hands into the air and cheered.
Uranus sighed in resignation.
It pained me to write some of this, honestly. Some of the lines from the actual story, Unexpected, Unpredicted Love could have been written better, and believe me, I wanted to rewrite them. However, I stayed true to the story for the sake of this silly fan fic!
Well anyway, I had fun writing this! Hope you guys enjoyed reading it!
