A.N: I know this concept has been used over and over again, but I wanted to throw out my interpretation out there in the fiction world. Please enjoy and review...
Literal Meaning

It was a rainy day in the port of Loguetown. The dark clouds casted a gloomy and dark aura over the town, a direct contrast to the citizen's happy expressions in the plaza below. They lined up on the sides of the street, onlooking the silent procession of marines. Slowly, the band of marines marched toward the everlooming platform, centered in the middle of the plaza. The tall structure was the fabled execution platform... where the Pirate king began the Golden Age of Piracy and was executed.
Once the marine escort reached the tower, they dragged a young man to the top. The crowd cheered as the young man was shackled to the tower by special sea-stone. The young man, himself, was very recognizable; everybody in the whole world has either heard his deeds or seen his face plastered on wanted posters. Just like on the poster, a scar was present underneath his left eye with raven colored hair framing his face. His signature hat, however, was nowhere to be seen, but the growing crowd still recognized the infamous outlaw.
A marine admiral quickly stepped onto the execution platform and adressed the young man.
"Monkey D. Luffy..." the admiral bellowed.
The crowd's cheers grew louder as pirate's name reverberated across the plaza.
"You are accused of piracy on a grand scale... such as..."
The marine admiral went on and recounted many of the pirate's adventures and 'crimes' against the world. Luffy smiled as memories of his past adventures and faces of people he met came into mind.
"Due to all of the said crimes against the world and its government, you are hereby sentenced to death."
Apon hearing the last word, the crowd cheered louder and louder. But soon the plaza was completely quiet, save for the one voice that cried out...
"Pirate King!, where did you leave all your treasures?"
The young man glanced out across the sea of people til he noticed 8 hooded people, all shaking, but not in excitement but in fear, anger and sorrow. The young man's grin grew wider as he looked straight at the people wearing hoods in the audience; and without skipping a beat, the young man spoke.
"I left all of my precious treasures in one piece and not one single one was taken from me. Go out and find your treasure... for it is waiting for you out there."
The sound of a drum roll played as the two executioners moved forwared towards the Pirate King. Their spears were poised over the man's heart as the drum roll grew louder. At the last beeat, the two executioners thrusted into the young man.
The Pirate King was dead...
