'Sup. I'm making a quick one-shot. If you haven't read A Night Guard's Story, you will be very confused.

This will give away some of Megan's backround, but not all of it.

So, I'm gonna stop talking and let you read the story. _

An eight year old Megan was talking to her friend, Cassedy, waiting for her uncle to pick her up from school. She was so mad at her mom for making her Uncle Chad pick her up. She hated him. He was a slacker who never to anything seriously. She doubted he was even going to pick her and Cassedy up. An hour later she was proved right.

"Where is he?" Cassedy asked, nervous.

"No idea. Let's just walk home. He's not even gonna come," Megan said.

"Walk? But your house is an hour away! My house is an hour and a half away! It'll take forever to get there!" Cassedy exclaimed.

"Well, my uncle obviously isn't coming and my mom gets off work in an hour. If we go now, we'll be able to get to my house by the time my mom gets home," Megan pointed out, though she didn't want to walk home either.

"Fine. We'll walk to your house," Cassedy finally gave in.

With that, they started walking to Megan's house. For half an hour they talked and laughed. Then, when they were only twenty minutes from Megan's home, a van pulled up. A man walked out. He had greasy black hair, a beard, and was wearing a dirty black shirt and jeans under a long trench coat.

Megan was scared. Cassedy was not. Megan had been taught never to talk to strangers and if a stranger came up to her to run away. But Cassedy, like most other kids int their small neighborhood, was never taught to stay away from strangers.

"Hi kids. My name is Mr. Thomson. This little girl's mother told me to come pick you and her up," 'Thomson' said, pointing at Megan.

"Ok! Let's go Megan!" Cassedy said, relieved that they didn't have to walk anymore.

"Uh, Cassedy, I'm not so sure about that. Why don't we just walk? My house isn't that far away from here," Megan said, unsure and scared.

"But Megan, I don't want to walk anymore. Why don't we just go with Mr. Thomson? What could go wrong?" Cassedy asked, pointing at 'Mr. Thomson's' van.

"F-fine," Megan stuttered, now totally freaking out.

The three people climbed in the van and drove away, the two little girls having no idea that their decision would ruin their lives.
