Sylar wants to know about a certain person, so he tries a long standing test - a flower and it's petals. The answer may surprise him though. (Warning: slash, but it's very, very light)
Sylar sits on a bench in a deserted park, thinking about his life. Leaning down, he picks a flower with rounded petals. He sighs as he spins it in his fingers.
His mind wanders to New York and the people that he has met. They all despise him and call him evil. There is one person that he thinks of in particular; Peter Petrelli.
The man was his enemy, yet Sylar actually liked him... in that way. There was just something about him that he found himself attracted to him. But he doesn't know if Peter feels the same way, or if he despises him like everyone else.
"Peter..." He murmurs, staring at the flower. A small innocent smile crosses his face for a split second as he remembers what children who like someone would use a flower for. He begins to pick off the petals one by one, whilst saying quietly to himself "He hates me, he loves me," with each petal.
Once the last petal drops to the ground, Sylar says resignedly "He hates me."
He leans back on the seat and looks at the sky. "You know that test doesn't always get it right." Peter steps behind him, leaning over him and blocking his view.
Sylar has to stop himself from jumping from fright. He smiles mockingly at Peter. "What are you talking about?" He asks in his usual calm manner.
Peter shakes his head in amusement. "The whole flower petal test? It isn't always right. Because, just so you know..." He bends forward and softly kisses his lips to his enemy, before drawing back and staring into Sylar's surprised eyes. "I do love you."
A/N: I couldn't resist doing at least one fluff story for my repertoire, they make a cute couple. Hopefully it wasn't mind-numbingly-terrible for a first attempt at fanfiction.
