"So where are we, Dad?" Jenny turned to ask her father as she stepped out of the TARDIS.
"This is Earth," her father explained, "one of my favourite planets and the homeworld of the human race."
"Oh! This is Martha and Donna's planet!" Jenny exclaimed excitedly. "Will we see them?"
"Well," the Doctor said as he looked around him, "time period looks to be about right, so it's possible…Uh oh..." he said catching sight of the structure in front of him, "Cardiff. That means…"
"Hiya, Doc!" an American accented voice interrupted.
"…Jack!" the Doctor finished with a sigh.
"And who's your friend?" Jack asked shifting his attention to Jenny. "Hello. Captain Jack Harkness," he said with a wink.
"Jack…" the Doctor warned.
"What? I can't say hello?"
Jenny giggled. "He's kind of cute," she commented quietly to her father.
Jack smiled at what he had overheard. "Thanks. But don't you think you're a bit young for me? You're what: eighteen? Nineteen?"
"Six." Jenny answered.
"Sixteen? You look older!" Jack observed.
"Not sixteen. Just six." Jenny told him firmly.
"Six? You're certainly big for your age."
"Actually, I started out looking this way. Not exactly human, you know." Jenny answered, as thought it explained everything.
"Not human, hey? Close enough, I'd say." Jack replied with his typical flirtatious smile. "I don't exactly look my age either, you know?"
"Jack?" the Doctor said glaring slightly at the immortal. "Do you mind not flirting with my daughter!"
Jack gulped. "You're the Doc's kid?" Jenny nodded. "In that case, nice meeting you, but I've got to go before your father finds a way to kill me for good this time." With that thought in mind, Jack jogged off with a quick wave over his shoulder.
"Who was that?" Jenny asked her father.
"Old friend," the Doctor said absent mindedly, "and you won't be seeing him again until you're at least a hundred."
"Why? He seemed nice enough."
"Let's just say he's a little too nice."
