The wind rustled the quiet grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The silence and peace was a stark contrast to the noise and terror of the Final Battle a month prior. It was the end of term and most of the students were queuing in the entrance up for the carriages that would take them to the train station in Hogsmeade. Only two students remained, standing near the lake that was glistening with sunlight, and a willow tree. One, a dark-haired Gryffindor boy, the other, a fair-haired Ravenclaw girl.

"It's a lovely day, pity we'll spend it on a train." Luna said, her dreamy aura present as ever. "I would've liked to go swimming with the giant squid." Her head tilted towards Neville, eyes suddenly focusing on the boy standing to her left. "I'm going to miss you, you know."

"Nah, you won't. I'm not leaving." Neville smiled brightly at Luna. "This place isn't rid of me yet."

Luna returned the dazzling smile, her eyes bright and cheerful. "I'm glad you'll still be here...You're my best friend."

Neville's smile slowly softened, and he hesitated. "Luna...I need to tell you something. Please...just listen, okay?"

She nodded.

"You know I don't believe in Heliopaths or Nargles or Crumple-Horned Snorkacks...But, Luna...I believe I love you." He smiled nervously, waiting for her reaction.

The witch's smile grew. "I believe in a lot of crazy things, I know. Most people don't believe in Heliopaths or Nargles or Crumple-Horned Snorkacks. But I believe in one thing that absolutely is not crazy, I'm sure. I believe I love you, too." With that, Luna took one step towards Neville and pressed her lips to his. He turned bright red, but didn't pull away. Luna, however, ended the kiss after a moment, taking the hand that had been on her waist and tugging on it. "Let's go, Neville, or we'll miss the train."

"We won't." Now that he was no longer shocked out of his mind, Neville's smile grew confident. He squeezed the hand that was entwined with his. Suddenly, Neville wrapped his arms around Luna, gently burying his face in her hair. "I'm so happy, Luna. I love you." he whispered, "So much."

She encircled him with her arms. "Look at these clouds." She smiled, gesturing at the blue sky.

Neville smiled and laughed, Luna still in his arms.
