He combed the tangles out of his brother's hair effortlessly, smoothing out any traces of knots or just plain messiness. Big but slender hands glided through blonde hair, emitting a sigh from the man sat in front of him.

"Fili." His soft voice made his brothers eyes snap open as he turned to stare at Kili through steely grey eyes.

"Kili?" He questioned, eyeing up the male before him with curiosity. Kili's hands subconsciously slid to his brothers cheeks, tracing soft lines down his cheek to the beard that lined his upper lip, taking out the braids and smoothing the hair out. With precision and accuracy his hands slid through the hair, braiding it with the accuracy only a Dwarven lover could muster. Fili's eyes followed every movement of his sibling, a pink flush lining his cheeks when Kili gasped ever so slightly, murmuring a quiet

"Gorgeous", before resuming the task at hand- Braiding the correct sections of Fili's hair, silent. The flush spread to Fili's ears when Kili began the process of putting the beads into his hair, his hands tugging ever so slightly at Fili's beard, making the man pull back in shock and embarrassment, as pink as a newborn baby.

"What ARE you doing, Fili?" Kili questioned, confused and worried he had upset his brother by showing the usual intimacy and curiosity he usually showed when braiding his brother's hair regularly.

"You are not aware of Dwarven customs, my dear brother?" Fili questioned, stroking his blonde beard thoughtfully as he stared at the younger of the two, a look of questionable embarrassment mixed with almost anticipation.

"Of what Dwarven custom are we speaking of, brother?" He replied, his eyes questioning the actions of his lover. They narrowed as Fili took a step closer, sitting down in the spot he had moments ago. He dragged Kili onto his lap, making the brunette gasp and put his head on the shoulder of the blonde, showing the shy side of his usually confident demeanour. Fili slid his hands onto Kili's pink cheeks, sliding his rough thumbs up and down the stubble lining Kili's jaw, a light smile on his face.

"No beauty can compare to yours, Kili. In all my years of living I have never met any being so entrancing, so captivating. So confident but so shy. You are perfect, Kili."

Kili simply let his mouth hang open at Fili's words, just staring. His eyes began to water considerably, a tear sliding from the corner of his eye, down his cheek. Fili quickly leant forward, cupping his brother's cheek and wiping away the tear with his thumb. Kili's tears were replaced by a huge smile, as his hands clasped around Fili's beard to give it another light tug.

"Kili. To tug a Dwarven man's beard implies you would like for him to kiss you."

Fili stated, leaning towards Kili. He grabbed the brunette gently by his hair, pushing his head towards him for a gentle kiss. Fili's tongue slid along the bottom of Kili's lip, Kili gasping and moaning when Fili bit his lip, maintaining eye contact as he slid his head into the crook of his brother's neck, smiling cheekily.

"Brother, you needn't blush. I've seen you naked many a time. It is nothing too impressive."

Thorin's ear pressed to his Nephews' door, wondering what mischief they were planning today. He heard the rumbling of voices, a conversation.

'Obviously up to no good.' He thought, glaring at the door as he listened more carefully.

His eyes widened as he heard Fili's voice, listening to the tone of voice and the gasp that followed his complementing attitude towards his brother.

'What in Durin's name is going on?'

Blue eyes widened to a dangerous amount once the words Dwarven custom and beard were muttered, and there was a bang as the King under the Mountain suddenly fell to the ground, defeated by the karma of eavesdropping.
