Sonny watched Selena walk away, and despite all the complimentary things she had just said to Chad and how she'd been feeling looking at him, she looked at him again, and she just didn't understand where it had all come from. Chad was a jerk to her and to her castmates. He had his sweet moments, she would not deny that, but in comparison, those few moments were just not enough to convince her that he was worth a relationship.
Selena, however, was different. Though Sonny hadn't known her but a week, there was just something special about her. She was sweet, friendly, funny, and truly dedicated to her craft. Sonny really admired her for that. That all contributed to this little crush Sonny had gotten the moment she opened the door and screamed in Selena's face. Well, that and she was super-cute!
"I'm sorry, Chad," Sonny said quickly. "I have to go." Refusing to meet Chad's eyes, she brushed past him and followed Selena off set.
After a quick search, Sonny found Selena in the dressing room, scanning the racks for her own jacket.
"Selena?" she said softly, tapping the other girl on the shoulder.
Selena's shoulders tensed, and Sonny quickly pulled her hand back to her side. Without even turning around, the Disney star spoke lowly, "What is it this time? I thought you were with Mr. Sparkly-Eyes!"
"I don't know what came over me back there. I mean, I've admired him for a long time... I used to be a big fan of Mackenzie Falls. Maybe it was just that. I really don't like him like that. At all."
"Really!" Selena snapped, turning to face Sonny. "You keep saying that, Sonny, but you haven't shown my anything to prove that you don't!"
"What kind of proof do you need?" Sonny pleaded. "Tell me how I can prove to you I don't like him. I'll do anything."
"Anything, huh?" Selena raised a questioning eyebrow.
"Anything!" Sonny confirmed.
Selena stared at her for a long moment, arms crossed over her chest. Sonny, although she had come off boring in that lame script Chad had sent her, was completely the opposite. She was surprising Selena at every turn, and she was extremely sweet and very persistent. She felt bad being so curt with Sonny when she looked into those sad brown eyes.
"I have an idea," Selena said slowly. She took a step closer to Sonny, a shy smile spreading across her lips. "Tell me if you want me to stop," Selena breathed, placing her hands on Sonny's hips.
Sonny felt like she was frozen. Selena's hands were gripping her hips, and the actress was slowly pulling Sonny against her. She knew what Selena wanted to do, and even as she processed it for the millionth time in under a minute, she still couldn't think of a proper reaction.
But when Selena's soft lips met hers, somehow she just knew how to react. She put her arms around Selena's neck and melted into the kiss, eagerly parting her lips when Selena's tongue probed.
Sonny was certain that time was standing still, that she and Selena were the only two people in the world right in that moment. It felt so easy, so natural. Selena kissed softly, but with passion. It was quite an amazing kiss.
"Proof enough for you?" Sonny gasped, when she finally pulled out of the kiss.
Selena grinned, resting her forehead against Sonny's. "Oh, yes," she said. "That proves a lot." She giggled, and Sonny joined in, before they started kissing again.
End.
