A/N: Set after Sonny With A Choice.

The Chad part is bigger than the Sonny part though. Chad's such a great character to get into! :)

Unhappy Endings

~.~

With her, life never seemed so beautiful. The sky was bright, the world seemed to dance around them. She loved the feeling of exhiliration she got when she was with him. He loved how his life with her was like a fairytale: Boy and Girl meet, they fall in love, they kiss, they live happily ever after. Just like every princess movie Disney's put out there.

Unfortunately, that fantasy broke with one simple arguement that seem to replay over and over in his mind, tormenting him.

"Goodbye, Chad."

"But Sonny-"

"There are no second chances this time."

Now that she was gone, the playful vibrancy that used to exist everyday faded into obscurity.

It was crazy.

He thought she loved him.

He was wrong.

He was stupid.

It was his fault.

Wasn't it?

The perfect rainbow never seemed so dull.

When he first locked eyes with her, he knew he just had to had her.

He played the game and won.

In the beginning, it's been a game for him, but it's turned into the real thing.

Now that she was gone, it clicked.

He loved her.

~.~

When she was younger, she was a firm believer of happily ever after.

Her friends told her there was never going to be one, and she laughed it off.

She was so stupid.

She found Prince Charming and she let go of him.

"There is no 'us'. I don't know if there ever was."

Stupid.

Stupid.

Stupid.

The only good thing about Hollywood and she let go of it.

There was something between them- a spark.

It was absolutely magical.

Spectacular. Perfect. Amazing.

Their first kiss was equivalent to a thousand fireworks.

I guess they were right. she thought. There's no such thing as "Happily Ever After". I don't think there ever was.

They walk past each other in the hallway, their eyes glued to the floor.

"Hey." She said, giving off a small smile.

"Hiya." He said back, his ocean blue orbs inspecting her black ballet flats.

"So how have you been?" She asks, her eyes meeting his. Brown met blue and both hearts broke a little bit more with longing for the other.

He mustered up a small smile. "Fine."

She bit her lip. "Good."

They stood awkwardly in the hallway.

"Well, I've got to go."

"Me too."

"Bye."

They walked away from each other, with both stopping once they were out of view of the other. A tear slipped through their cheeks as they stare brokenly back at the hallway.

"I love you." They whispered.

There was no reply.

Boy meets Girl, They fall in love, they date, they kiss, they break up.

That's what it was destined to be.

"The magic of first love is our ignorance that it can never end."
- Disraeli
