Dear Miss Hermione Granger:
Congratulations! I am very pleased to inform you of your admittance to the Hogwarts Beauty Pageant of 1998. You have been anonymously nominated by a friend and/or family member who believes in your ability to succeed in mentally, physically, and emotionally challenging tasks needed to become Hogwarts Queen.
You are one of forty contestants competing for a fully paid scholarship to a Magical University of your choice. The scholarship will not only aid your academics but also aid you in your future career.
The top four (4) finalists from each of the four (4) houses (Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) will contend for the title of Hogwarts Queen 1998 and reign for an entire year. Hogwarts Queens must attend the International Magical Academies Beauty Pageant and several other public events.
Please review carefully the enclosed materials that pertain to the mandatory deposits, deadlines, requirements, and other critical information. Please send in your letter of acceptance or declination to the return address by October 3, 1997, though we encourage an early response to be able to prepare you fully for the tasks you will be facing.
