Author's Note: I know it's like ridiculously short but I just wrote it to write it. I'm hoping one of these days to write something a little longer. Anyways, reviews make me smile. :)
Ziva David sat in the chair in the corner of her newborn daughter's room, cradling her child in her arms. Little Tali Jennifer DiNozzo was born only three days ago and she was a fussy one. She had just gotten the little girl to calm down and she was relishing the quiet.
"Hey." She looked up to see her husband standing in the doorway. She smiled, thinking at how far they'd come. She remembered a time when all they had done was fight and flirt. Things had changed gradually, but what had really opened her eyes was when he had traveled to Somalia to save her. It had taken her by surprise. So much so that she spent the next year or so trying to put distance between them. Until one night, he had come to her apartment and confessed his love to her. The only thing she could say to him was that she loved him as well. A year later they were married and a few months later, she had gotten pregnant with Tali. Her life was so good now.
"You okay," he asked her, walking over to her.
"Yes, Tony. I am fine. I was just thinking."
"About what?"
"How wonderful my life is now." She smiled as he leaned down to kiss her softly on the lips. In all her wildest dreams, she never believed her life could be this good.
