Klaine Scene - Season 3 Episode 1
INT. HALLWAY AT MCKINLEY HIGH SCHOOL.
Kurt Hummel strides down the hallway, standing tall and proud, clutching his binders in his arms. He stops short as he is completely covered from head to toe with blue raspberry slushie.
JOCK
Having a good first day?
The jock taunts him, shoving his shoulder. Kurt holds his
head high.
KURT
Yes, actually. Blue raspberry is my
favourite flavour.
Kurt picks a hunk of blue ice from his hair and continues down the hall, hips swaying. Someone speaks to him from behind:
Excuse me, can you tell me how to
find the choir room?
Kurt turns around slowly, somewhat hesitant, and there stands Blaine Anderson out of uniform, and completely drenched in a red cherry slushie. His pale blue button up shirt is stained red. Kurt's face breaks into a huge smile. He skips forward, wrapping Blaine in a tight hug.
KURT
Look at you! I mean, I like a man
in uniform, you know that, but you
don't look too shabby out of
uniform either.
BLAINE
Well, coming from you that's quite
a compliment.
Kurt's smile widens.
KURT
So, did I hear you were heading to
the choir room?
BLAINE
Yes, I am actually. I heard that
McKinley has a fantastic Glee club.
Maybe they would let me audition.
KURT
Well, I'll have to take you there
then!
The two head down the hallway, standing a respectable distance apart. They pass Rachel who shoots them a smile, Puck who gives Kurt a friendly pat on the shoulder, and Mercedes who gives Kurt a quick wink. Kurt flushes a little.
KURT
I can't believe you transferred
here without telling me! Why?
BLAINE
Well, a few reasons really. First
of all, Dalton is expensive, and I
was really starting to feel guilty
about costing my parents so much
money. Second, I went to Dalton to
run away from my problems, and here
you are, facing them again, and all
alone. I was hoping that by leaving
Dalton to come here, I could
finally face them myself.
KURT
And the last one?
BLAINE
Well, you go here. And I really
missed you-
Blaine is cut off by the two of them both being soaked further by slushies thrown by two jocks standing right in front of them. The jocks continue on their way, yelling back at them:
Go back to your gay school!
Blaine stands there is shock for a moment. Kurt grabs his hand, and gives him a small smile. Blaine returns it. They continue walking, not even pausing to clean themselves up.
KURT
So, you were heading to the choir
room? Feel like singing with me
some time?
BLAINE
I would be honoured.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this little scene I wrote. I really had fun writing it, and it was excellent practice. Reviews are ALWAYS appreciated. Thanks.
