"Sam-" she tried to say the least.

"No I don't care if he's my father or not magically showing up at the studio IS not the way to do things." Sam huffed. For a moment Lara was afraid she'd break the plate she was cleaning. Most of what Samantha was talking about she didn't catch. She knew it was definitely her father. "He just shows up and is like the fucking big bad wolf! Looms over me and fucking huffs and puffs." Sam groaned and Lara could only hope to god that plate didn't shatter underneath her grasp. Every word Sam said you could tell she wanted to kill him.

"Sam you-" Lara couldn't even finish a sentence.

"Of course he does it to me and leaves everyone else alone!" Lara gave up. Either that plate is strong or from a different universe. Sam accidentally hit it against the sink and it was still going strong. "I'm beginning to wonder if it's because I'm not exactly straight!"

What could Lara say to that? When Sam told her father he wasn't exactly happy even though he accepted it and eventually it led the two to cursing in Japanese and Lara trying to pull Sam away for her fathers safety. Something drove a wedge between the two and although Lara thought there was more to she wouldn't say it out loud. At least not to him. Sam would have agreed and came up with theories or just settled on that he didn't like her.

"Okay now-"

"And oh wouldn't that be a surprise!" Lara scoffed and shuffled forward. She cursed wearing a skirt but cursed herself much more for forgetting about laundry day. She was missing sweats and shorts. "I just-" Sam stopped and looked at Lara. Lara was staring at her. "I could-" she had a look that made her feel slightly nervous. "He knows how to kick me-" no other word could come out.

This kiss was short and to the point but Sam didn't mind. It was to shut her up and it worked. Lara had a familiar orange taste to her Sam had no damn clue why it was oranges but it was a short heaven. Sam pouted and tried to lean back in before Lara shook her head and stepped back winking. Tease.

"Now can I talk please?" Lara chuckled and Sam nodded folding her arms. "For one I don't blame you for telling him off but you shouldn't have done that where everyone could see you baby-"

"But Lara-" Lara threw up a hand.

"If he doesn't like me he can come to me about. If he doesn't like you dating a woman he can get over it but he does love you." Sam groaned inwardly giving up and let her head fall on Lara's shoulder. Sam didn't care if he didn't like Lara but that wasn't it. He just didn't seem to care at all. "Now would you like good news." Sam grumbled. "Taking that as a yes. There's an excavation in Egypt being planned." Sam stood up with a cocked eyebrow. "I was asked to be lead archaeologist and guess who was asked to be the director for a documentary they want to film along the way." Lara smiled warmly. Sam brightened visibly at that.

Sam's mind ran a thousand miles per hour on equipment she'd need and just wanted to use. If it wasn't for being twenty four she might have jumped in excitement like a kid. Lara had been talking about wanting to be lead on this project for a good two months and she talked about it a lot actually.

"Oh my god Lara! Your lead!" She grasped Lara's shoulders. "Fucking lead!"

"Yeah I know director." Lara laughed.

"Saying that in that skirt..." Sam stepped back and looked at Lara's skirt. Lara blushed and headed out of the kitchen. "Wait it looks good! What're you doing?"

"Changing." The bedroom door closed.

"You forgot to do laundry." Sam heard a frustrated Grunt from behind the door and smiled.
