"Sirius?"
"Yeah?"
"I don't think I have ever told you..." Remus stopped short, blushing when his eyes met Sirius twinkling browns.
"What?" A sly smile met the young man's lips. Once Sirius wanted to know something, there was no getting away from it. He always found out what he wanted to know. Of that Remus was certain... among other things.
"It's just... I'm in love..." Remus hated himself for chickening out but he couldn't bear the pain of what may come if he didn't get the response he oh so desired from Sirius. "...with your hair."
"My hair?"
"Yeah... It' so tangly, like a dog's, and it's so soft." Remus sat his books down, a small sigh escaping his lips as he moved, and took a seat on the couch next to Sirius. "I just want to run my fingers through it." He reached out his hand, only stopping when Sirius took hold of it.
"Wait... I know there is more to it than that."
"No... you would laugh at me." Remus averted his eyes from Sirius' gaze, only gazing at where their hands met.
"I'm your friend Moony, I would never laugh at you. No matter what it was you had to tell me."
"Alright..." Sirius' soft, mezmiring voice finally made Remus give in. "I'm... I... I'm in love with you. I have been for half a semester, I just didn't tell you before now, because I was pretty sure you didn't return my feelings, and there was no way I was going to risk our friendship."
"Well guess what Moony?"
"Yes Padfoot?"
"I'm in love with you too."
