It's my Life

Summary: In her life, she had gone from an innocent, shy, cute little girl to a sarcastic, savvy, quick-as-a-whip beautiful young woman. An Anna character study.

It's my Life

Anna was used to being alone. She had been alone since 1864. Well, not technically. She had Ben and Noah, but out of the three she was the only one with a HINT of brains. And watching Noah get staked just proved her theory further. When her and her mother came out of the tomb and she saw Ben's charred, dead body, she wasn't surprised.

There were certain times when she showed hints of how she truly felt. Like when she and Jeremy had kissed in the forest. Jeremy had probably thought the veins were a sign that she had wanted to drink his blood. But, really, those light veins under her eyes were a vampire's way of showing that they felt the same. And another time was when her and her mother walked into the hotel room. When Damon had his hand around her mother's throat, she was terrified. She could have thrown him off easily, if it hadn't been her mother he was holding in a death-grip. She refused to lose her mother again.

But mostly she hid how she truly felt. One time she can clearly remember is when she came into the kitchen of the farmhouse and found Fredrick feeding on poor old Miss Gibbons. She felt horrified and sick to her stomach, but she turned it into worry for Miss Gibbons. And then there were all those times in 1864 when she saw her mother with Jonathan Gilbert. She didn't trust him and was worried for her mother, but instead turned it into fake-happiness for her.

She really thought they'd be in Mystic Falls to stay this time. She would finally get to go to high school with her boyfriend like normal teenagers and go out with him at night. And after the night of passion that was shared between them, she felt like nothing could go wrong.

Until, that night. That night she came home to find her mother packing. As soon as her mother said they were leaving, Anna's world felt like it was crumbling apart. After arguing with her mother, she had left to say goodbye to Jeremy. She could never win against her own mother.

When she came back that night, she had never expected to find what she did: Harper and her mother lying in the living room, stakes in their hearts.

She was usually emotionally-stable but with no one around to hide her emotions from except her dead mother and friend, she reacted on impulse. She fell to her knees beside her mother's body and, after pulling out the stake, wept for the first real time in her entire life.

She was so jealous of Elena. Elena had everything: friends and an aunt and brother who loved her deeply.

Anna's life only had Jeremy now. She would keep hiding how she felt. Just not around Jeremy

AN: So, be honest, how was it? This is my first character stud, and I worked all day on this. I might do one for Holly J and another for Fiona soon.
