Jack Shepherd straightened his tie, making it tighter around his crisp white collar. Pulling his face closer to the mirror examining the dark bags under his eyes. He had just worked a 36 hour shift,Two surgeries including rounds, now he was being made to go to a charity event for the hospital. Not that he was a stranger to these type of things, far from it to be exact, he was one of the worlds gifted young surgeons, so of course ST Sebastians hospital showed him off at every chance they got. this was the best he could look he decided still partly unsatisfied, and left his dingy apartment.
Considering Jack had a six figure paycheck he surprisingly didn't have much to show for it. His place had the essentials, A Bed, A Couch, Kitchen, most of which was rarely used. The majority of jacks time was spent at the hospital, either working, checking up on patients, in the OR, the list was endless.
He had not been there for more than thirty minutes and was already worn out. that was until he singled her out, she was talking in a group of maybe four? five? people. Jack rarely bothered with women, the occasional one night stand would suffice, not that he didn't want to find someone just the fact that his life was already hectic enough, he didn't need a women on top of that. thats why he thought it so odd that she caught his eye. He mingled around the large but somewhat overcrowded room. Introducing himself, occasionally dropping his own opinion into the conversation. But being terribly distracted by the green eyed beauty not to far from him now.
