Tintin & Alph-Art: Part 2
His Last Article
Prologue
First of all, I want to thank everyone who reviewed "The 'H' and The 'E'" and enjoyed it! Most of all, I want to thank Pink-Pencil-Girl303 for her support and encouragement! Things are going to get bumpier and more dramatic in "His Last Article!" Guaranteed!
Disclaimer: Tintin, Alph-Art and all related characters and stories belong to Herge. Cos and Bettha are my OCs. "Yoyo," on the other hand, is a surprise...
Moments before the plane in which our heroes and the enigmatic woman known only as "Yoyo" or just "I" were travelling touched down at Ugo Niutta aka Naples International Airport, a letter addressed to Cosimo and Elisabettha Abandonato somehow found its way to its recipients.
"My friends,
By the time this letter reaches you, the plane in which I'm travelling will have landed. I must warn you that the plan may be in jeopardy, because despite my warnings, the red rooster has refused to count his chickens before they hatched. Therefore, he is in as much danger as the four of us, so I will watch over him, in case any of his investigations take a gruesome turn. He is aware of our efforts, but refuses to understand that his involvement is unnecessary. And yet, despite our efforts to drive him away, I cannot help but let him carry on, seeing as he is more experienced than me at this sort of thing. He might even be more experienced than the three of you, no offense.
I will visit you tonight, but for now, I am undercover, so please do not come to meet me immediately. I have been forced to come here in disguise, because my employer thinks I am at home with a bad stomach. Also, I have a feeling that, although Akass never paid attention to me in the past, he may recognize me on sight now, after all the attention he gave to THE case a long time ago. If he actually had thought I was a familiar face when I went to his last show in Belgium, he might not have shown it. You never know.
I do not expect the red rooster to take action against Akass almost immediately. But I do know that we'll have to keep a tighter watch on the villa.
Things are bound to get more dangerous by the minute. I just know it. I can only hope that we will finally bring him to justice. And then I can get some closure. And Bettha? Please keep yourself safe. Your condition right now will only put you at twice the risk I face. Please look after her, Cos. I'm counting on both of you.
Your very own,
I."
The "I" at the end of the letter was signed in red paint with a thin artist's brush.
Shortest. Prologue. Ever. But the updates will be longer and more exciting, I promise! I only hope the story becomes believable as it progresses. It'll take a while before the next update, because life always gets in the way.
