So I hope everyone enjoys this fic! I love Ace to absolute bits, so I couldn't resist writing a birthday fic.
At the start of the day, Luffy and Law had come over to take Ace out for a surprise for his birthday. Marco had just told them to take him; he wanted to plan something nice for his boyfriend's birthday anyway. Luffy and Law had whisked Ace away as soon as the freckled man opened the door. This was great for Marco, as it left him with time to plan his birthday surprise. He had a plan to order a lot of Ace's favourite foods and have a nice romantic dinner, which would then lead to a VERY romantic night. He just had no idea that later on, Ace would come home with a big surprise of his own.
Ace sat in the passenger seat of Law's car and stared out the window as the tattooed man drove. Luffy was sitting in the back, being his usual self and kicking the back of Law's chair. "Tra! When are you gonna get there?"
At a red light, Law pressed his foot on the brake and turned around to yell, "Soon! And if you don't stop kicking my seat, you're going to walk!"
Ace just laughed at them. "Tra, it's not nice to yell at the man you're sharing a bed with."
Law shot him a glare and pressed his foot into the accelerator to go, just ignoring the two brothers who continues to poke fun at him. Law parked the care in front of a shopping centre and, with the help of Luffy, pulled Ace towards a shop located in the shopping centre.
"You'll love his place, Portgas-ya. It's where I got my piercings."
Marco was setting up the dinner table. He had order pizza and Chinese food, and had also bought the burgers from the place that Ace loved. Everything was going o according to his plan, and when he looked at the clock, he realised Ace was due home in a few minutes. He was just finishing up lighting the candles on the table when Ace entered loudly through the front door. "I'm home!"
Marco walked through the door to enter the living room, and saw Ace standing there grinning nervously while Luffy and Law stayed back.
"Hey, Portgas, welcome home. Happy birt- Oh my god! What did you do to your nose?!"
Ace just chuckled nervously. "Well... I've been considering having it pierced for a while, so I arranged to get it done for my birthday. Law paid for it, so that was really nice of him." Law rolled his eyes at the comment.
Marco glared at Law and Luffy before turning his attention to Ace. "Why did you want to do that anyway?"
"Because I saw some pictures of it online, and I really wanted to get it done. And since Law's good with medical stuff, I already knew what to look out for. Please, just don't be mad."
Marco sighed and placed a hand on Ace's head, ruffling his hair lightly. "You idiot, I'm not mad, just... Surprised. I never thought you'd get this kind of piercing."
"But do you like it?" There was some sort of glint in Ace's eyes.
"Maybe. I'll have to get used to it," Marco said and kissed Ace's lips, tilting his head slightly to avoid hitting Ace's new silver septum piercing.
Ace with a septum piercing sounds very nice, doesn't it? :3
