Easter bunny
John was climbing the stairs to 221B when he heard an unfamiliar noise come from behind the door. It sounded inhuman and John was wondering whether Sherlock was doing another one of his animal experiments.
John opened the door to find Sherlock half buried in a pile of Easter eggs and holding a large box in his hands.
"Sherlock… Why did you was your money on so much chocolate?" John whispered, trying not to get angry at Sherlock as he was trying to do something nice for John.
"Oh these? These are all from Mycroft. This is from me." Sherlock stepped forwards and extended his arms toward me so I would take the box from his hands.
John took the box and hesitantly began to open it. Sherlock stood tapping his foot as he was impatiently waiting for John to open the box.
"Here." Sherlock ripped and tore at the box. He left the lid on for John to open.
John took the box back from Sherlock and began to lift the lid. John looked down and inside that large box was a small, fluffy, white, little, sleeping bunny.
"Sherlock a bunny. Where are we going to keep it? I have no use for it. You didn't buy the poor thing just so you could experiment on it?" John was outraged. He tried his hardest not to shout but his anger got the better of him.
"What? No John don't be so stupid. It's the Easter bunny. I read in a book somewhere that a large – well this one is only small but still – a white bunny comes around to people's houses and delivers eggs to them." Sherlock looked very pleased that he managed to hold this information.
John was absolutely puzzled by this; he really didn't know what to make of it.
"Flora." Sherlock mumbled. John's head snapped to Sherlock and seems that he had taken the bunny out of the box and was petting it.
"I'm sorry what?" John rushed out.
"Well it needs a name John. I'm calling it Flora since you don't want it." Sherlock said. All his attention was focused on the small white creature in his hands.
"Well it's mine so…. Yes Flora is quite a good name." John started to feel a little jealous as he tried to grab Flora out of Sherlock's hands but Sherlock held her just out of reach.
"Yes well then Flora shall be her name and she shall stay." Sherlock announced.
From that day on Flora became a lovely new edition to the 221B family.
