Another story by me,

Hope you like it, hope you hate me, hope you understand that the italics bit is a flashback but at the same time the main part of the prologues, hope you understand that all chapters are prologue untill further notice...

It had been two years since that incident and the soul society hadn't once let their guard down, if anything they were more alert than ever. "Captain," Rangiku Matsumoto called, running after her squad captain, Toshiro Hitsugaya. Rangiku was a busty woman with long, flowing orange hair. Her captain was a small boy who appeared to be no older than the age of twelve; he had spiky white hair and was very level headed. "Stay sharp, Rangiku," he told her, "today's the day he comes back." Rangiku nodded; after all, the incident that occurred two years ago had sent everything they knew into turmoil.

He stood on Sōkyoku hill, his once warm brown eyes were now cold and empty, they refused to let out the tears that threatened to spill. Instead the sky cried, rain fell on all the soul society, and in the world of the living: all the earth, too. It was as if the worlds themselves were mourning the loss of three great people, even if he wasn't. Eventually he spoke, but his voice cracked and betrayed his true feelings. "They didn't deserve to die." He said his quiet voice somehow carrying across the seireirei, "They were good people and now they're dead, you killed them. I will avenge their deaths. Two years, I will be back in two years for my revenge. I make this pledge on their graves." By this point all the soul reapers were watching and had a basic idea of what was happening; two in particular were worried. "Are you okay?" One soul reaper, his name was Renji Abarai, asked his long term friend. "He's right." She told him. "They shouldn't have died and we are responsible. That man, he just wanted to protect his friends. Now those friends have been taken from him; he has nothing left to live for, he's lost everything. I'm going to leave, Renji, I'll leave the soul society and help him as he quests to achieve vengeance. I, too, swear this upon my their graves." Renji was taken aback but he didn't try to stop her. She climbed to the top of Sōkyoku where he was just finishing off his speech. "I will take down the soul society." She looked at him and he looked at her, before a garganta appeared and the two traitors left.

"I wonder how much he's gotten stronger over these last two years, even though he's our enemy." Renji Abarai told Rangiku, he had caught up to them some time before and they were talking about what was supposed to happen. Captain Hitsugaya chose the moment to speak, he had been quiet for the last few minutes, "In all the time we've known him, he's never stopped growing.

Review or die...

It's not like it will hurt, unless you choose the die option in which case it will be slow and painful...
