"Derik and Danny come here right now!" Courtney Delvin yelled to her twin sons.

"Mom, have you seen my clarinet?" Courtney's eldest daughter Claris asked.

"No sweetheart, why are you looking for it anyway?"

"I signed up for the eighth grade symphony thing and I need to practice."

"Clarinet, still? Haven't you given up on that dumb instrument yet?" DJ asked, he was otherwise known, as Duncan Jr. DJ was the eldest of Courtney's five children, at the age of 16 he was a troublemaker just like his father.

"Shut it DJ!" Claris yelled at her older brother. Claris had her fathers black hair with her mothers mocha skin and onyx eyes. Her brother DJ had his moms brown hair but with a red Mohawk kind of like his dad's. He had his moms mocha skin and his dads sky blue eyes. The twins, Derik and Danny, both had their mothers brown hair that hung like mops off their heads. They both had their fathers skin tone and their fathers sky blue eyes. The boys were 10 years old, while their older sister was 14.

"Mommy!" Sophia, Courtney's youngest daughter yelled, "I want you to hold me!" Courtney walked up the stairs toward her baby daughter, her last and final child. Sophia had a darker shade of her mother's hair; along with her onyx eyes, Sophia also had Courtney's mocha skin. She was a daddy's girl, but she was very much like her mother in spirit though she was a bit more easy-going.

"There we go." Courtney said to her daughter as she picked her up. Sophia was about to turn five in a few months and she was excited to start school just like her older siblings.

"I'm home!" Duncan, Courtney's husband, yelled.

"Daddy!" Sophia screamed as she hit the floor running toward her fathers open arms.

"Sophie, how are yah little princess?"

"I'm good daddy, I went to pre-school today!"

"You did!"

"Yup!"

"Hey dad," The twins said as they passed by the stairs to the lower landing.

"Hey boys"

"Hi dad," Claris said as she gave her father a hug, "Guess what? I got the lead part in the woodwind section of the orchestra!"

"That's so good for you Claris!"

"Thanks dad!"

" 'Sup dad," DJ said to his father.

"Nothin' much, how was school?"

"Lame as per usual."

"Well, I know I don't normally say this but you've got to do well in school."

"Whatever." DJ said as he walked away from his father and up to his room.

"What a good listener." Duncan said sarcastically to his wife.

"You raised him to act like an ogre, remember. I always said that this would bite us in the rear when he got older and now look what's happened? Oh just that!"

"Oh well, we've still got an amazing family."
