Like Watching Rain
Watching them fall in love,
Is like watching rain fall.
It's slow at first, but soon,
They fall faster and faster;
Until your chest is flooded,
Making it hard to breathe,
And you try to scream,
Or cry,
But you can't break down.
You must stay strong.
They can't see you weak…
Or broken… or vulnerable.
And nobody understands.
They say, "Move on."
They say, "He's stupid."
And your mind agrees, but your heart doesn't.
All those memories,
They are forever burned into your mind.
Too precious to let go,
Too happy to lose,
Too wonderful to forget,
But, they are too painful to remember.
It is not fair,
To see them together every day.
It is killing you on the inside.
There love is like rain.
It is forever now…
It is the end.
