Ben 10
Not a Lifelong Ban
A/N: Based on the reboot series episode, Don't Laze Me Bro, and because I actually felt sorry for Ben and Gwen. Here goes.
Being banned from every Laser Town establishment forever was just too cruel!
"Hey!" Everyone from Ben and Gwen to the Laser Town owner turned to look at the front door, seeing a dark-skinned man in a business suit looking at them. "Did I just hear right?! Did you just say that these kids couldn't get into any Laser Town establishment forever?"
"That's right, sir," the owner answered him.
"But that's just cruel…and it sends a bad message to the child community if word of a lifelong ban were to come out."
"What?!"
"You heard me. If word got out that these three, regardless of whether they intended to cause trouble of this sort, being banned were to get out, business would go south. Parents and guardians will stop bringing their children out of fear of being banned for life, causing the establishments to lose business, even possibly shut down. Your only other competitor would be Laser Land, and people would be forced to take their business and kids to those establishments. Do you really want to risk that happening?"
"But…but… They wrecked the place," the owner stated. "They need to be punished."
"But a lifelong ban isn't the best way to punish them for being kids. If necessary, just ban them temporarily…for at least a year to this very day. Six months when prices skyrocket."
Ben and Gwen were in denial! This man, this stranger that just showed up, might very well be their latest hero.
"Six months to a year?"
"To this very day. In a way, that, in and of itself, will seem like forever. Besides, I'm looking to invest in the laser tag business, and I heard that both Laser Town and Laser Land actually bring the kids in."
"Oh, alright, you win. They're banned for just a year to this day. Six months if prices skyrocket."

"You two should really be grateful to that man," Max Tennyson told his grandchildren as they drove off. "Before you know it, six months or a year will pass by and you'll be back."
"But he was right about one thing," went Ben in response to the changed ban. "A whole year to this very day will seem like a long time."
"A very long time, and that's if prices don't increase in six months," Gwen added.
"He's actually hoping that prices will go up in six months," Max expressed.
"Hail all the heroes of Laser Town," Ben and Gwen uttered as they looked back at the Laser Town establishment they just left. "Laze 'em, tag 'em, take 'em down."

Laze 'em, tag 'em, take 'em down!
Ben and Gwen were lucky! Word of what happened at one of the Laser Town establishments got out to the kids and attendance prices jumped. This was six months ago, and their ban was lifted.
"Hail all the heroes of Laser Town!" Ben cheered as he ran across the place, shooting lasers at other kids that were there.
"Laze 'em, tag 'em, take 'em down!" Gwen added, ducking behind a pillar to avoid getting hit.
