Disclaimer: If you think I own Trek, you have a warped mind. Hey, at least it's faster than impulse! (Don't leave! This story isn't full of corny jokes, just the Disclaimer)
Rating: PG
Summary: While Wesley is a student at the Academy, he writes a letter to his mother.
Dear Mom,
I'm glad I'm finally in Starfleet Academy. Life here is interesting, but it's not the same as the Enterprise.
I have come to the conclusion that my roommate is nocturnal. He sleeps in class and becomes extremely hyper late at night. He drinks a lot of ancient sodas like "Mountain Dew."
I'm thinking about writing a research paper about the dangers of caffeine for my Chemistry class.
I have developed new hobbies since I came to the Academy. I enjoy keeping track of which cadet is on which side of which argument and who likes whom. My friends say I'm catching up with teenage habits because I hung out with adults too much on the Enterprise.
My roommate and I also enjoy surfing on the waves of things lying on the floor. Unfortunately, our superintendent doesn't find that amusing.
Mother Dearest, as you know, Starfleet courses require a lot of energy. Could you please send me some cookies too energize my mind? :)
Love,
Wesley Crusher
