Author's note: The beginning of Lilly's romantic feelings for Oliver back when they were just kids. Enjoy!

Go west, young Lilly!

Little 9 year old Lilly Truscott comes home from school.

"Hi, Lilly! How was school today?" says Lilly's mom, Heather Truscott.

"It was so fun, mom! Oliver and I had an awesome day!" says a very happy Lilly.

"Do you have a crush on Oliver Oken, sweetie? It's okey if you do." says Heather.

"NO!" says Lilly in a loud voice. "He's my best friend, not my future husband or something like that!"

"Sorry, Lillian! Your face always shine when you talk about him so I thought there was more than friendship in the air." says Heather with a smile.

"Mom!" says Lilly. "I don't wanna kiss Oliver! He's my friend, but nothing more, okey?"

"If you say so, Lillian!" says Heather.

"If I ever wanna have a boyfriend it won't be Oliver!" says Lilly. "He's nice and stuff, but I can't see myself kissing him..."

"Okey..." says Heather.

Later Lilly is on the floor in her room, playing with her Barbie-dolls.

"Hi, Lils!" says her brother Thomas Truscott as he enters the room.

"Hi, bro!" says Lilly.

"Have you told Oliver that you have a crush on him yet, Lilly?" says Thomas.

"I do NOT have a crush on Oliver!" says Lilly as she give her brother an evil look.

"I think you do have a crush on him, Lilly!" says Thomas. "I've seen the two of you. You always look so happy together."

"We're best friends! Duh!" says Lilly as she roll her eyes.

"Maybe more than friends..." says Thomas. "You know, like friends with benefits!"

"What the freakin' freak is friends with benefits?" says Lilly confused.

"You'll know when you're a little older..." says Thomas with a smile.

"Sorry, I don't get it..." says Lilly.

"Like I said, you'll know when you get older." says Thomas as he leaves the room. "See ya later, Lilly!"

"See ya, bro!" says Lilly.

Lilly close the door to her room and goes back to playing with her Barbie-dolls.

"I wonder what Thomas was talking about..." says a very confused Lilly. "Friends with benefits? What's that anyway?"

The next morning Lilly and Oliver are next to each other in Heather Truscott's car as Heather drive Lilly and Oliver to school.

"Oliver, do you know that Lillian has a crush on you?" says Heather to Oliver.

"What...?" says Oliver.

"Chill, Oken!" says Lilly. "I so do not have a crush on you!"

"If you kids were a few years older you'd see what I see." says Heather.

"No way!" says Lilly and Oliver at the same time.

"Okey, here we are! You kids have a great day! I'm here to pick you up at three. Bye!" says Heather as Lilly and Oliver step out from the car outside school.

"Oliver, do you have a crush on me?" says Lilly as they walk towards the school-entrance.

"No, Lilly! I don't have a crush on you." says Oliver.

"That's a good thing, Oliver!" says Lilly with a smile.

"Maybe some day I do have a crush on him!" Lilly thinks to herself as she look at the boy walking by her side.

The End.
