Kiba smiled softly. It was such a nice day! He lay on the forest floor in a clearing, eyes closed as the sun bathed him and Akamaru in warmth. There was a slight breeze, and all was silent, giving the dog nin a chance to fully relax with no worries.
"This is great, huh Akamaru?" Kiba chuckled at the 'Arf!' he got in response from his canine pal. He moved his arms behind his head, closing his eyes. "Nope buddy. Just you, me, and some fleas today." He grinned.
Then he froze. 'Flea's?'
The resounding screech sent flocks of birds into the sky. Kiba rolled around, limbs flailing in panic, not noticing when Akamaru went flying due to a well-aimed kick. "GET THEM OFF!" He hollered, jumping up and down, scratching furiously. "F-FLEAS! OH MYGOD! GET 'EM OFF!" After several minutes of panic, a shadow dropped down from a tree limb, observing his spazzy friend silently.
"Shino?" Kiba whipped around, seeing his silently amused best friend. "FLEAS! HELP!"
Shino rolled his eyes behind his dark glasses, walking over to the squirming boy. He lifted his hand and the fleas were gone, relieving his desperate friend. He suppressed a chuckle then a surprised squeak when hands were placed on his shoulder. Kiba looked into his eyes seriously.
"Thank you. So much."
Shino gave an imperceptible nod. "You're welcome." Kiba's face brightened.
"Here's your reward!" He swiftly pulled Shino's collar down and pressed his lips against his. The dark haired boy held still in shock, especially when a tongue ravaged his mouth before pulling back. "Thanks!" And the pup scampered off, leaving a frozen and lightly blushing Shino behind.
