Alright. It HAD to be done…sooner or later. I just happened to get a hold of it. This goes back to Season 2 of Castle when Dana Delany guest starred at FBI agent Jordan Shaw. Castle made a comment about Nikki Heat crossing swords with a sexy, smart FBI profiler…well, you get the jest. So…since Dr. Megan Hunt has been kind of lonely lately, I have decided to give her and Kate a no-strings-attached one-nighter. You know you love me. Femmeslash…But I totally love Caskett and Meter. :]

Disclaimer: How many times have I had to say this? I don't own Castle OR BOP…Are we clear? I hope so.

Kate Beckett had just closed a case, a rather small one, but at the same time she wanted to go out to celebrate. Normally, when she and Castle closed a case, she would head to The Old Haunt, Castle's latest buy in great and antique things. Tonight was different though. Tonight, Kate just wanted a glass of wine in her apartment, with a good book to read. I have been wanting to read Castle's latest hit... she thought, the thought of reading a book written by the man she was head over heels with sending a chill down her spine.

"That's what I'll do. And I'll even throw in a pedicure." Kate Beckett grabbed her coat and purse and headed for the door. Castle was just heading back into the precinct as she stepped onto the elevator, but before he could ask her to dinner, she had already said, "Me night, Castle! Rain Check!" and the elevator doors had closed.

Beckett rarely did this anymore, but this time she decided it would be best for her and her wallet if she took the subway tonight. As she stepped onto the car with four other people, 3 others got off the subway, leaving a few extra spaces open. Grabbing the last open seat, Beckett sat down and pulled out Castle's latest book, "Heat Rises", and flipped open to Chapter 1.

Before she could turn the page, the doors to the subway swung open, and Beckett was caught in a flurry of people, but person in particular caught her eye. Amongst the blondes and brunettes, there was one blur of red that Beckett saw, which intrigued her.

Once the subway began moving again, the crazy movement of people had settled down, and Beckett was able to hide behind her book for a few moments while still stealing glances at this red-head who had sparked her interest. The other woman paid no attention to Beckett, of which Kate was glad. And Beckett almost felt a sense of de ja vu when she was able to catch a glimpse of the soft features of the other woman's face.

Her hair was a fiery red, the natural kind, and it mixed perfectly with the greenish-brown eyes this woman had. Her skin was fair, and Beckett thought it would be soft to the touch. The green trenchcoat she wore as well gave her quite a slim figure, all the way down to her stilettos. Oh and that smile, when Beckett saw the woman smile while reading something on her Kindle, Beckett thought she was going to melt right there in her seat.

Kate continued to read her book, and she actually became quite engrossed in it, but she would steal an occasional glance at the turn of a page just to make sure her de ja vu lady was still in the car. About twenty minutes and 18 or so stops later, Kate got off the subway, and she noticed, so did her de ja vu woman. In about half of a New York minute, Kate decided against following this woman; Katherine Beckett was not the stalking kind.

Minutes later, Kate was arriving at her newly-called home since the explosion. The image of this woman she saw on the subway still burned in her skull. She tried to relax in the tub, with a glass of wine, but all that seemed to do was make her hot…and slightly bothered. This woman gave Beckett chills, but at the same time brought a heat inside her belly that seemed everlasting. After Kate got out of the tub, she put on a robe and decided it was time for her pedicure.

She flipped the TV on, and turned to her favorite Syfy show, "Firefly". Oh this is one of my favorite episodes! She thought, putting spreaders in between her toes. When her feet were lotioned up well, and her toes were prettily painted, Kate decided for more wine to drown out the thought of this woman that still kept arising in her mind.

Eventually, Kate had passed out on the couch, her supple skin only robe-clad, and an empty wine glass on the coffee table. It was about six hours later that a call woke up Beckett from her alcohol-infused slumber. Her head was pounding, and she instantly regretted drinking however much wine she had consumed that night. "Beckett" she answered hoarsely into the phone. It was Ryan on the other line, and he had a 419 dead body on her side of town that morning. "Ok, thanks Ryan. I'll be there in 15…" she began, before looking down at what she was wearing. The belt on her robe had come undone, and part of the robe was falling off her naked body. "You know what Ryan…" she said, closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose. "We better make that 20 minutes."

Beckett hung up the phone and quickly jumped in the shower and got dressed in the dark, her head hurting entirely too much to turn the lights on.

She made it to the crime scene in exactly 19 minutes, or at least that's what Castle told her. "Your coffee awaits my lady. Oh, and the corpse too." Castle quipped, handing her the recycled coffee cup with her name on it. Beckett took a long sip of the hot liquid before moving over to the body, needing the liquid fuel as bad as ever.

When she saw the M.E. leaning over the body, Beckett thought she might die right alongside the corpse. Kneeling down on a yellow silk-like cloth, Kate Beckett saw the same red-headed woman she saw on the subway. It wasn't until the woman spoke that Beckett knew she was still alive. "You must be detective Beckett", came the smooth words out of the woman's mouth. "I am" Beckett said, not being able to come up with much else. Kate pinched herself one good time to make sure she wasn't dreaming. "What happened to Dr. Parrish?" The woman stood, and took her right glove off to shake Beckett's hand. "I'm Dr. Megan Hunt, M.E. Dr. Parrish is out on a conference in Philadelphia where I work, so they have temporarily replaced her with me." Kate gave the woman a strong-gripped handshake, not wanting to let go of the other woman's finely manicured hand.

I was right, Beckett thought for a moment, looking back down at the body: her skin IS soft. Getting back on topic, Kate asked her next typical question. "Have you got a C.O.D?" The woman knelt back down onto her silken cloth, and pointed to the man's temple. "If it's not from a gunshot wound to the temple, I'll go home and pickle my walnuts.", came the off-the-wall reply from the doctor. Kate cocked an eye-brow, and Castle quickly jotted down some notes, giggling: "That's so going in my next book!" to himself.

"He was a smoker too" the doctor said, giving the detectives some more evidence to go on. "I didn't find a pack of cigarettes in any of his pockets, but I did find some tobacco. He was probably more of a pipe smoker. Not too many of those left in the city. I found a wallet too, and you aren't going to like his name." Beckett took the wallet from Megan, and looked at the New York driver's license inside. "Mr. John T…Doe? Are you kidding me?" Beckett said, handing the wallet for Ryan and Esposito to give to CSU. "Anything else interesting down there, Dr. Hunt?" Kate asked, kneeling down herself to get a closer look at the body. "Just that he wasn't robbed, he's married, and he went to a bar last night." Megan added, lowering the man's shirt once again. "But I won't have what he drank until I get him back to the lab." Castle's jaw dropped at the comments the doctor made, and Beckett rolled her eyes. "Castle…"Beckett began, looking at her astounded partner. "He's got a wallet full of money, a wedding band around his neck, a tan line around his left ring finger, he reeks of booze and tobacco, and there was a logo for a local bar on his shirt." Castle closed his mouth and gave Beckett a look, but Megan gave a nod in appreciation for her deduction.

"Well, ok Dr. Hunt, let's get Mr. Doe here back to the lab, and give us a call when you've got some more information for us." Beckett said, standing back up.

Megan nodded, and stood, gathering her cloth and purse, and called for two medics to come put the body in a bag and into the coroner's van.

"So what do you think Castle?" Beckett asked, watching Dr. Hunt ride away in the van. "That Dr. Hunt is hot!" Castle gasped, watching the van as it departed like a five year old. "I know righ…I mean…I mean about the body Castle!" Beckett said, attempting to get back on track, and hoped nobody noticed her Freudian slip.

They soon left the crime scene, and headed back to the precinct do dig up more information on the body, and the entire time, Beckett was awaiting the call from her beloved red-head, Dr. Megan Hunt.

Don't fret, I'm continuing. Please review!
