What if Merlin was the protector of the last dragon egg ever since he was a child how would the episode play out? This is completely different!
Chapter 1 Prologue
"We're going to die." Those were the words that came out of the young boy's mouth out of all of his family he could see it in Uther's eyes he may not of been showing any emotion but he knew. Well it was obvious why they were woken at midnight, how they were sent to a dark cold room with no windows and no means of escape, why their were so many soldiers that came in armed with crossbows so it was quite clear. The last words that he thought he would hear from Uther's mouth was " I have to execute you all." He said this with no emotion, the entire family stood up out of shock and the last thing he remembers was the pain of multiple arrows coming into contact with his body, the screams coming from his older brothers and sisters his mother, his father the last thing he remembers was falling and someone screaming his name "Merlin!" and then nothing.
Merlin remembered that horrible night that was the night when every thing was taken from him his entire family he was the only survivor. Hunith was the one who saved him (only because she saw his arm move), but still he was great full that she had nursed him back to health and took him in as her son but he spent most of his time doing his job… protecting the last dragon egg. His family has been protecting it for over 400 years! His family had a long and painful history. Now he was the last one he was The Emrys and The last dragon lord which was a big thing and very lonely. The only reason why he was remembering all this because he was in the temple of Ashkanar with the egg it was a bright pearl white (with a blue tinge) egg and it was fairly large and it had a smooth surface. Merlin always thought that all the treasures and jewels in world none of them compare to this egg. The main reason why Merlin was here was because of a man Julius Borden who had already two pieces of the key/ trap and he knew where the other piece was in the volts of Camelot. Merlin didn't need a key because of his birthmark on his neck it was the shape of a dragon it was sort of like a free pass through the door and into the main chamber.
Merlin was in so much of a panic about the egg that he instantly got dressed and left no note to tell Guias where he was or what he was doing he didn't even want to think what Arthur will do when… if he will get back.
