When i was small, I used to love the stories my dad told me about the prince Dark and his twin, Krad, who had been born just a few minutes after Dark and therefore, Dark, had just barely made it to be the heir to the throne. This is my way of telling it: "Krad had always been envious of his older brother who seemed perfect. One day, Krad challenged Dark to a duel; Dark just barely won and was so severely injured that he had to stay in bed for 3 days and 3 nights straight. After that, Krad consulted with the Hikari, the evil witch that was the sworn enemy of his father, and asked her to help him get stronger than Dark. Hikari gave him a black cross, the symbol of her clan, and told him that to be stronger than Dark, he would need to find Satoshi, and use the cross to pierce both their hearts at the same time, uniting them forever. Krad did as Hikari had told him, and was fused with Satoshi, sharing one body between two souls. Dark heard of this and wanted to help his brother, he went to see Niwa, his best friend, a fairy, and she gave him a silver feather, painted black. He was to break it in half, but he needed another human to help him. He asked his friend, Daisuke for help, at first Daisuke didn't want to, but he soon realized that Dark was running out of time and agreed to help him. This was the birth of the Black Prince and the White Knight. They continued to live and to fight for the rest of time, and Dark eventually sealed away both of their powers in a sculpture that was part of a set with a shield which mark was a black and a white feather, crossed." I always thought Dark was the evil one, the spoiled child and the reason for Krad's sinfulness and dark life. It was only when I myself became involved with them that I realized how much Dark loved and cared for his little brother, even though Krad had always wanted him dead.
