Author's Note: This takes place in Lucius's second year and Narcissa's first year.

Lucius watched Narcissa as she looked through her telescope on the Astronomy Tower.

"I know that I have looked through this telescope countless times," Narcissa remarked, "but it still feels weird when I see so many of my relatives up there in the night sky."

A sad expression crossed over Narcissa's face as she looked up from her telescope. "I wish I was up there as well."

"You don't need to be up there," Lucius replied. "You're the man-eating flower, and none of those stars up there have that same claim to fame."

Narcissa could not help but giggle, remembering all too well the story that Lucius had told her about the man-eating flower that was capable of eating even the greatest of wizards.

"That's true," Narcissa admitted, "but there's still something special about seeing your namesake up there in the night sky."

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'm not a star either," Lucius grumbled. "I'm just Lucius."

"I'm so sorry, Lucius," Narcissa responded. "I wasn't thinking about that."

"Don't apologize," Lucius returned. "I'm a Malfoy, not a Black. Our families have different traditions, and there's nothing wrong with that. I like a lot of your family's traditions."

"Do you like my family's tradition of naming their children after the stars?" Narcissa asked somewhat nervously. As much as she sometimes hated the fact that she had just been named after the flower instead of a star, she still valued the typical naming tradition of her family.

"Well, it does help to stroke your family's egos," Lucius grinned, "and I have no problem with that."

"I'm being serious, Lucius," Narcissa pouted. "Being named after a star is important to me."

"Then it's important to me as well," Lucius replied in complete seriousness.

Narcissa beamed at Lucius in appreciation before bending over to once again look through the telescope. She suddenly began to giggle.

"What could possibly be so funny about stars?" Lucius asked in confusion.

"I was thinking about which stars to name our children after," Narcissa laughed.

Lucius was stuck completely speechless. He knew that he and Narcissa were arranged to be married one day, but that was still years away. Narcissa had just started Hogwarts for crying out loud. How could she possibly be already thinking about children?

"I really would like to continue that family tradition," Narcissa spoke, her voice now serious. "But only if it's all right with you, of course."

"That wasn't what I was having a problem with," Lucius managed to gasp. "Merlin, Narcissa, how many future children do you plan on us having up there?"

"You don't want to know," Narcissa grinned.

Lucius groaned. And he had thought that Narcissa was the sane one of her sisters.
