Summary: Ganjyu feels as if Hanatarou might break if handled too roughly. Hanatarou does not necessarily appreciate this.

Notes: It's been years since I last wrote for fandom. This is my first Bleach fic and it sort of came out of nowhere. I wrote it in probably less than ten minutes. Hopefully it's not all too bad for that. I'm a little rusty.

Ganjyu always wondered at the size of Hanatarou. His friend seemed so tiny, especially compared to Ganjyu's own girth. He felt as if he was next to something delicate, something fragile and breakable. Like the too good china that had belonged to his parents and that his sister guarded jealously. Something precious that he might break if he wasn't careful.

At first it made him very hesitant around the Shinigami. He was frightened of hurting him, something he never wanted to do. So he took things slowly, pressing soft (and always so gentle) against Hana and praying that it was enough. That he wouldn't pull back to find his friend broken and bruised. After a while though he realized that this wouldn't happen, that his fears were unfounded. He also realized that his hesitancy was frustrating not only him but Hana as well. Not to mention his sister who was getting quite annoyed with all the too heated glances shared across the table that never seemed to lead anywhere.

He knew this and still couldn't quite bring himself to do anything about it. It wasn't until one evening when Hana unceremoniously flipped him and forced him to treat him anything but gentle that Ganjyu finally understood. His friend wasn't breakable, still precious, but certainly not fragile. If anything it might be Ganjyu who ended up breaking under the surprisingly strong and firm hands of his friend.
