The Song of the Doctors
I do now own the rights to Doctor Who
First you came to Earth
Unknown to us you were
A grandchild and her teachers
Across time you bravely went
With them the seeds of war were sown
Second you smiled across the stars
A great love for Earth was born
Men of iron fell to your tricks
With nobles, soldiers and the smart
The legend went on
Third you were trapped
With a dashing car and a flowing cape
A world you saved from your friend
The heroes, the frightened and the brave
All stood with you and you with them
Fourth you were free
The first shots you fired and saw your enemies birth
Savages and Ladies of Time were with you
Endless horrors you saw down
Saving the world which so scorned you
Fifth you grinned and laughed
Youthful and free with your bright crew
You lost the boy but you saved the world
When those you knew not were perilled
You gave your all to save them
Sixth you were wild and angry
Hated by many, respected by more
You made mistakes, especially that coat
On trial you held your own
Proved yourself more a Lord than all your kind
Seventh you loved your life
With your friends, the scream and the punk
Ancient darkness and high tech horrors
Explosive foes and the oldest of allies
Gunned down cold and alone
Eighth you knew us so little
At the dawn of millenium you stood and saved us
For many a day, many a night, all looked to you
In the years of wilderness you kept our hope
You fell unwanted and reborn into war
Warrior you were so noble
You did what no number could do
Against horrors and evil on both sides
You held to your truths
And with the others you saved all
Ninth you came to us broken
Filled with hate and guilt
By the red flower you were saved
Die as you are or live as a demon
Your friend ended it all
Tenth you mourned for so long
Against the oldest foes and oldest friend
Never once did you fail to save us
Victorious or defeated you went on
By the knock of four you still saved him
Eleventh you laughed and danced
With the girl who waited and the immortal soldier
A true family you had again, taken by the hand of stone
With the impossible girl you saved your home
With your last moments you were bade good night
Twelth you saw darkness and light
Your eagle eyes watched over us as we lived our lives
With the impossible and the student all was done
When you fell all seemed lost
Your youngest helped you to see the light
Thirteenth you fell
We wait for you
And your story will now begin.
