Chapter One: Lion Heart
Thor stood atop his balcony, leaning against the metal railing and gazing up at the twilight sky. A cold wind blew into his face, ruffling his ember hair causing him to emit a small shudder as he gave tiny cough. His eyes slowly fluttered to a close when suddenly a streak of light fell from the sky illuminating the night with its immense blaze. It was glowing a bright white and its decent had reached an uncanny speed. Thor stood breathless, his eyes round as the light continued to soar across the sky. Glancing to his right and to his left as if expecting to see others who would confirm what he was seeing, he gave a cry of alarm as the light seemed to be merely several dozen miles away. Involuntarily taking a step back ready to flee if the need should arise he gazed up mesmerized by this strange phenomenon. A small crowd had already formed in the street in front of his house; the spectators dressed in night clothes all pointing at the light. Many were laughing and smiling, probably thinking that this was some sort of firework display but Thor stood frozen as if possessed by some supernatural force. And then he heard them: the voices, some high, some deep, some rejoicing, some mourning, and all incoherent and strange. He looked into the light which was now blotted up a quarter of the sky and at its center he saw crimson, a crimson eye. And Thor didn't notice as the people below began giving cries of alarm and some fleeing, he didn't notice as the light now the size of half a dozen WarGreymon came so close that he could touch at the speed twice of that of Renamon came flying towards him, he didn't even notice the heat that was singeing his hair and forcing his eyes shut, but he did notice the light hovering tow meters away from his face then exploding into a cornucopia of colors that flew all over his city in different directions , and he did notice a crimson orb flying from the group and smashing right through his railings into his chest, burning his skin, and sending him flying into his room…
