I looked at him half-heartedly, slightly concerned about him. I knew that he was having a hard time. He was hurting though he was too stubborn to admit it. Losing a partner is hard, especially when they had such…such a unique relationship.

I pressed my lips together and looked at him. He was sitting under a sakura tree, staring listlessly before him with a blank expression on his face. Something was off, I could feel it. This was not typical for Deidara… I sighed as I walked closer to him. "Deidara… "

"What, un!?" he snapped, irritated. His blond hair was messy and dirty, his skin paler than usual and he had bags under his eyes.

"You really need to get over it," I started softly. "People die. Everyone will die eventually. We need to let them go, and—"

"Shut up," he growled in a low voice. I shook my head and sat down beside him. From the corner of my eye I could see that he was glaring at me. Frustrated, I closed my eyes and sighed again.

"Deidara…. Look at yourself. You're sitting here alone, staring in the distance. You haven't eaten for three days and have refused to go on any kind of mission." I stopped and looked at him anxiously. I could see the hurt in his eyes. "You're depressed… You really cared about him, didn't you?" He turned away from me, trying to hide the tears that were starting to flow.

"Shut up, un." He said in a shaky voice. I smiled softly and put a hand on his shoulder, concerned.

"He was your best friend, wasn't he?"

"I said SHUT UP, UN!" he yelled at as the tears started to flow.

"Shh… It's okay, I'm here," I whispered, embracing him. He buried his face in my neck, and cried like a little child.

"He wasn't just a friend! He was like a big brother to me… He was the family I never had!" sobbed Deidara.

"It's okay, just cry…" I rubbed his back softly. "It will be okay, Deidara…." I looked up at the sky and smiled sadly, tears starting to stream down my own face. "It will be okay."
