First of all……..I don't own Robin Hood, the characters and places etc all belong to the BBC.
All was black nothingness. Suddenly, a flash of white material. The twirl of hair. Beautiful blue eyes gazed deeply into his own as the woman stilled her movement. The young woman's soft hands touched his chest. Resting on his heart. Beneath the leather his heartbeat quickened, it's drumming filling their ears. It echoed everywhere.
The woman stood, her luscious lips parted and she leaned forward to kiss him. He responded. Her touch was light, tender, welcoming. He reached up and touched the tenacious locks, losing his hands in the satin of her hair. The woman pulled away and she laughed light heartedly. She ran from him.
Teasing. Mesmerising.
The white garment she wore moved silkily around her body as she danced away from him.
Desirable.
He ran, calling for her to wait and she slowed, he grabbed her hand. She turned. Abruptly, he dropped the precious limb as if it was diseased. For the face was no longer hers but that of a man. A brown haired man. A man that gloated and laughed at him.
Enemy.
"She loves me. Me. Robin."
His ivy voice tore through Guy like a dagger. Guy's eyes filled with rage and mustering all the strength he had he flung a punch at the man that dared to make a mockery of him. The man who had everything he wanted. Immediately his own arm was caught in mid air by the woman's hand. Robin was gone. Her hand ran across his shoulders and back, working its way around his body.
Temptation. Betrayal. Beauty. Poison.
It rested once again on his heart. The rythmatic beating could be heard. Louder. Louder.
"Marian," he whispered. It was barely audible. The woman stared at him blankly, her eyes filled with tears of sorrow.
Mercy. Regret.
"Feel mine." Her voice rang out and the sound of his own heartbeat stopped. She lifted his limp hand over where her heart should be. They stood together, for an age, hands over one another's hearts.
Slowly, with incomprehensible horror, it dawned on Guy he could feel nothing. There was no heartbeat.
Silence. Stillness. Death.
She started to fade into the black.
"You did this to me." She whispered but it was so loud. He panicked.
"No." He said more to himself than to comfort Marian but she was gone. He grappled in the darkness. Losing himself. Forever haunted.
