I'm still working on this story but here's a sneak peek of the first book of my series The Heinz Trilogy called the Amulet of Juatchadoon. The series is a parody of The Bartimaeus Trilogy. I read it a while ago and I thought it was amazing. Anyways here's the cast:

Nathaniel/John Mandrake: Phineas Flynn

Simon Lovelace: Professor Poofenplotz

Bartimaeus: Heinz Doofenshmirtz

Faquarl: Other Dimension Doofenshmirtz

Jabor: Platyborg

Ms. Lutyens: Candace Flynn

Arthur Underwood: Major Francis Monogram

Martha Underwood: Linda Flynn

Mr. Purcell: Jeremy Johnson

Kathleen "Kitty" Jones: Isabella Garcia-Shapiro

The Mercenary: Normbot

Fred: Buford van Stomm

Stanley: Django Brown

Jessica Whitwell: Vanessa Doofenshmirtz

Rupert Devereaux: Roger Doofenshmirtz

Sholto Pinn: Reginald Fletcher

Martin: Thaddeus

Timothy: Thor

Simpkin: Carl the Paid Intern

Quentin Makepeace: Aloyse "Rodney" von Roddenstein

I know, large cast, but there are so many people in this book. This is just the cast for the first book. More characters are added in the second book so when we get there, I'll tell you who else is in the series. No, Isabella will not be playing that big of a role in this book. But starting with the second book, she'll start to play a big role. There's no romance between Phineas and Isabella in this book but in the other books, there'll be some since Nathaniel and Kitty seem to start to like each other.

Okay, it must seem like I'm ranting, which I essentially am so without further ado, here's the sneak peek for my upcoming series!

As the child was fed and bathed and finally put into bed, snuggling his pet platypus, Linda Flynn reported back to Mr. Monogram, who was working in his office.

"He's finally asleep," she said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he was in shock- and no wonder, his parents just leaving him like that. I think it's sick and wrong, ripping a child from his home so young."

"It's always been done this way, Linda. Apprentices have to come from somewhere." The magician kept his head down meaningfully toward his book.

His maid didn't take the hint. "He should be allowed to stay with his family, or at least see them sometimes."

Tiredly, Mr. Monogram placed the book on his desk.

"You know as well as I do that that's impossible. His birth name has to be forgotten, or future enemies will use it to harm him. How could he forget it if he saw his family? Besides, his parents weren't forced to bring their brat here. They obviously didn't want him, Linda, or they wouldn't have answered the advertisements. It's quite straightforward. His parents receive a considerable amount of money as compensation, he gets a chance to serve his country at the highest level, and the state gets a new apprentice. Everybody wins and nobody loses out."

"All the same..."

"It didn't do me any harm, Linda." Mr. Monogram reached his book.

"It would be a lot less cruel if magicians were allowed to have their own children. I mean, then, children wouldn't have to be ripped out of their homes."

"That road leads to competing dynasties, family alliances...it all ends in blood feuds. Read the history books, Linda: see what happened in Italy. Don't you worry about the boy. He's young so he'll forget soon enough. Now, what about making me some supper?"

Well that's it with the sneak peek! Watch out for more sneak peeks and then the story! Please review about what you think about the sneak peek. Thanks!
