A/N: Written after doing a little searching for inspiration and remembering a song I heard that reminded me of a certain three people. "Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis, to be exact. Basically, what's going on here is Sora is heartbroken after finding out about Tai and Matt's relationship because she was in love with Matt. Yup, so go ahead and read on.

Don't Look Back In Anger

I knew we broke her heart. The second we walked past her and she followed us with a pair of the saddest eyes I'd ever seen I knew what we'd done to her. She honestly thought she had a chance with you. Never in a million years would she have thought you were in love with me.

I'm sure she saw the way you looked at me and casually found reasons to touch me or stand close to me. I'm sure she saw us that night when I told you I was cold and you wrapped me in your arms and didn't let go for almost an hour. I'm even pretty sure she saw when you leant over and whispered in my ear all those times. It just never really occurred to her that none of those actions were only displays of close friendship. She never saw the hidden meaning and emotion behind our exchanged words and gestures.

I'm sure she feels very stupid right now.

Everyone else had guessed easily enough. Hikari and Takeru even thought that we were secretly already in a relationship. When we told everyone that we'd finally decided to make our love concrete by becoming boyfriend and boyfriend, they were among the most surprised, but only because they didn't know we weren't already together like that.

She just got this lost look on her face, stood up, and walked out of the room. You didn't even look back over your shoulder at her; you just hung your beautiful golden head and closed your impossibly blue eyes. I looked through the window and saw her crouching down on the pavement and crying.

Someday she's going to find her special someone and move on. Someday, believe it or not, she is going to get over you.

I remember what you said to her as we were walking away that night. You turned, walked right up to her, looked her in the eye, took her hand in yours, and said, "Don't look back in anger."

I didn't quite catch your meaning that night, but I thought it over right before I went to sleep that night, and then I smiled to myself and wondered how I ever ended up with an angel like you.

Later on today, we're going to have a party for Daisuke's birthday. I hope she goes and has fun. Yes, she was once rivaling me for your affections (well, not really, since you only ever wanted me in the first place), but she's still first and foremost my friend, and still I love her like a sister.

And just maybe someday she'll learn to never look back in anger and to just accept things for what they are.

Who knows?

Maybe she already does.
