Okay so I wanted to write something somewhat happy for Rebekah... So what if she finally moved on from Marcel? Then out of no where he reappears at her door.? This One-Shot is inspired by the Hedi Mathus' song 'Tables Turn' and 2PM's song 'Tired of Waiting' I hope you guys enjoy this One-Shot!-JasZ
It seems that the tables are turning as Rebekah starts to move on with her life. She was finally happy to be the one receiving love and taking it like the sun gives warmth to plants. For once she can finally be the one to feel the tender loving of someone who wouldn't abandon her within a second. She was happy for the first time.
Her happiness quickly dries as he darkens her doorstep. His dark eyes shining with lure and promise. Her heart no longer beats for him like it use to. All the scares that he left behind have been stitched up tightly. A faint smile playing on his lips as he greets her.
She gave him all the time of the world to come back to her. The tears she spilled for him only to be left in the dark. By pulling herself together she helped her family to advance at in the war. Demanding her full attention and efforts instead of dwelling on someone who didn't return her feels.
She didn't want to repeat the past. She knows how it goes. She'd fall for his pretty little words. Always ran back to him. Like a little fool that she always went back to him. He didn't care about her. Only cared about the power leverage he got when he was with her.
Maybe she was just being hopeful in the past that someone could really love her. How blind was she never seeing what he truly wanted? Her brothers were right about him. Klaus wanting them apart; only watching out for her best interest. Kol for hating the man, who weaseled in while he watched in.
As they sit in the front room with cups of tea. Rebekah avoids any eye contact with him or even exchanging pleasantries. She wants nothing to do with him. As the night continued on, she begins to become restless. Excusing herself, she starts away. It's then that he corners her.
He has the nerve to make excuses to why he did what he did. But now isn't the time. She moved on and she shares with information with him. This man has gained the approved of both Klaus and Kol. Something that is rarely done by both brothers.
"Just give me a chance, Rebekah." Marcel calmly starts once again.
A scoff escapes Rebekah's rosy lips. "It's funny how the tables turn and it's you that is here pleading. Like I once did. How does it feel to be someone's fool?" She retorts softly as blond strands of hair tumble down.
"All I asked for time."
"Time; that I gave you. I grew tired of waiting and to tell you the truth I'm glad you never came back." She whispers. "I'm with someone else now. And I don't really have time to be playing your little games anymore. Now if you excuse me, my fiancée is waiting for me back home." She brushes past him, proud of herself that she finally freed herself from the past. But something deep in her breaks, maybe it's that the tables did turn but it's her that became bitter along the way…
