Chapter 1
The Wish
It was just another average day, Dipper often liked to read and walk through the woods. Though, he was never the kind to really want to interact with these creatures, no, he just liked to read about them. Sometimes he liked to go and see if they were real or not. But, he learned years ago, when he and Mabel was 12, that things are not what they seem at all.
He walked down the path and sighed softly, he liked the forest. It was peaceful, calm even. That was, until he heard the clock on his wrist. His eyes widen, "Oh no, it's seven already!". He quickly closed his book, he'd be hearing it for a week from his step mother. Dipper never really did like her, she was very controlling, always trying to get him interested sports.
He ran down the road as thunder boomed and rain began to pour. He put hte journal in his jacket and ran down the path. His long sleeved coat was becoming drenched, the long sleeves slipping down over his arms. Being about the age of 17, he new being late now was going to bite him hard.
His step mother was very much wicked when she wanted to be. But she claims to be nice, but anyone who wore that much makeup, mind this si sister wasn't that back with it, is bad news.
He ran down the dirt path, then through the park and into the streets. His home was out there, it was nice and large, but to him it was too far from the park. Dipper hated that, but the one thing he hated the most was the fact his old mother didn't want anything to do with him when she left. Well, she did, but his dad told her no and made sure of that. So he found someone else who was like her, only worse, much worse. She was a kiss up to him and his dad's money.
Dipper got up to the porch as his step mother frowned at him, "I'm sorry for-"
"I don't wanna hear it, now come in, it's pouring." she sighed, Dipper sighed as he came inside. And stormed inside. His step mother followed.
"Dipper, you know me and your father rarely get to go out." Dipper glared.
'You go out every weekend!" he told them, she gave him a stern look.
"If I had known that you had plans, you should have told us." She told him, Dipper rolled his eyes.
"You never ask, you don't know anything about me!" he yelled, she frowned.
"I want you to have a date, you should have one at this age. Really." she tried so hard, but Dipper saw his sister come down stairs. She looked at him, as Dipper yelled at their step mother.
"I can't so anything right, can it!?" he slammed his room door, his father looked at his wife, and sighed.
"I can't get through to him, he treats me like a wicked step mother in a fairytale." she told him, he frowned a bit.
"I'll talk to him." he walked up stairs, Mabel smiled at there step mother and talked with her a bit. Their father walked upstairs.
Dipper's room had many thing son different cultures, he was going to be a anthropologist and possible a languageist. He had a few things from his summers in Gravity Falls, but nothing major, though he found out most things about the town, it was normally his hobbies to learn about the different things each creature. They all have different ways of life. Some were very friendly, others, not so friendly.
His father was alright with it, but they both wanted him to do sports and give up this crazy passion. But, it paid very good money, however, they didn't see why he'd be a thing like that. He frowned, it just wasn't fair! Mable got all the praise, and he was left in the dark!
His father merely said that he and Mabel had to stay home. His father never wanted to 'talk' only scold. When the door opened again, it was Mabel, she smiled a bit at him.
"Dipper, please talk to me. I mean, she's not so bad..." Dipper didn't look at her, she frowned.
"Dipper," she then smiled, "How about a story?' Dipper glared at her, he got up and sighed.
"Fine." he muttered, as Mabel smiled warmly.
"There was once a boy, who's mother left him with his father and sister. The father was cruel and bitter, praising the girl, but never the boy." he sighed, "The boy was practically a prisoner in his own home. His siter often ignored him and went with whatever the mother said." Mabel frowned, was this how Dipper saw things?
"So he wished a person would come. And a person came, and you knwo what he said." Dipper asked, she shook her head.
"He wished, 'I wish someone would come adn take my sister away, right now!'." Mabel then had tears in her eyes, as she got up.
"D-Dipper?" she asked, he didn't looked at her, just looked away. With that she ran out of the room. But, then screamed. Dipper then shot up, and ran out the room, it was dead silent. He walked into Mabel's rooms. no one, she didn't got down stairs, there was no place to hide. Now he was worrying.
"Well well well, Pine Tree." he turned a man with blond hair and bright amber eyes he was dressed in bright yellow with a top hat and a bow tie with an eye patch that had a gold triangle on it.
"Bill..." Dipper took a step back, in fear, "Please, if it's all the same, I want my sister back." Bill smirked
"What's said in said Dipper." he told him, Dipper looked horrified.
"But, I didn't mean it!" he cried.
"Oh?" Bill laughed, "Did you?" he asked, then formed a crystal ball in his hand. Dipper blinked curiously..
"I offer this to you then, forget your sister, and you can have your endless knowledge, a family that loves you." he told him, then leaned to the boy.
"Please, it's not that I dont' like your offer, but, I want my sister back, she must be so scared-" Bill glared.
"Dipper..." he whispered, as the orb turned into a snake, "Don't defy me." he threw the snake as Dipper yelled and threw it off. Only to see it was a scarf. Bill chuckled a bit, as he sighed. Dipper was just too determined.
"Your no match for me Dipper." he told him, Dipper glared.
"But I have to have my sister back!" his voice was desperate. Bill shrugged as he paced behind him.
"She's there." he pointed out the window, "At my castle, in the Mindscape." Dipper blinked, and looked outside at the gray landscape then at the gold castle in the distance. It was a large labyrinth to get there though.
"Do you still want to look for her?" Bill asked softly, he hoped Dipper would say no. Then it'd be easier to enter his life, without Mabel interfering. But, if not, then this could work to his advantage.
"Is that the castle beyond the forgotten city?" Dipper turned back to Bill, who frowned a bit.
"Turn back, Dipper. Turn back, before it's too late." he warned, Dipper looked upset and confused.
"I can't, don't you understand that I can't?" he asked, then looked back over the gray landscape of the labyrinth. Bill sighed, and shook his head.
"What a pity..." he said softly, then walked up to Dipper from behind. Dipper looked at the castle in the distance.
"It doesn't look that far." he said, Bill chuckled softly, many had said that.
"It's farther then you think." Dipper gasped as he looked at Bill who was so close to him, this made the Dream Demon smirk, "Time is short.".
He walked over to a clock with the numbers 1 to 13 on it. Dipper looked at it also, confused at first.
"You have 13 hours in which to solve the Labyrinth." Bill then smirked, "Before you twin sister becomes one of my servants, forever." Dipper looked down, as Bill faded away into the gray. "Such a pity." Bill said before vanishing.
Dipper looked out over the labyrinth, then took a deep breath, "The Labyrinth," he sighed, "Doesn't look that hard." he concluded to give himself confidence.
"Well..." he sighed again, "Come on feet." he then began to long walked down to the entrance. He just had to save his sister from his stupid mistake.
