Disclaimer: I don't own anything except the plot of this story. I also own little Amy!!
The church today is beautiful. There are pink, white, and purple flowers everywhere. There are scented lavender candles lined up on the edge of the aisle. It is the same aisle I am supposed to walk down in a couple of minutes. All the guests are dressed up waiting for the ceremony to start. The priest is in the front shuffling through papers. The groom slips in quickly going unnoticed by the guests.
The piano starts to play a soft tune. Little Amy, my niece, is walking down the aisle in her black dress with the pink ribbon tied around her waist. This is the same dress that all the brides-maids will wear. She is carrying a light brown basket while throwing pale pink rose petals. As you might have guessed she is the flower girl.
Next is Kelsi and Jason's turn. Jason is looking handsome as ever in his black suit. Kelsi looks beautiful; she has her head held high and is very proud. You would have never guessed that she was shy in high school. Now it's Sharpay's turn. She is escorted by Zeke. Sharpay had a very hard time toning down her make-up because today wasn't about her. It was about me.
Now Taylor is walking down the aisle with Chad. Hopefully he doesn't mess up anything or else I will be very mad. Chad's hair actually looks controlled and groomed today. I have to remember to tell him that. Normally it looks like a wild animal on the run.
Now is the big moment. Now is the moment that I have to walk down the aisle. The song is starting to play. Except it's not the regular wedding song. It's the Start of Something New. It's our song. It's the song that brought us together. Who knew a simple song like that could lead to this wedding. So, when I asked him if I could walk down the aisle to this song he kissed my forehead and said anything for you princess.
Then I asked him if instead of wearing a traditional white dress I could wear a pink one. Again he kissed my forehead and said anything for you princess. I feel so lucky. He treats me like I am royalty. So, now I am in a strapless pink dress and about to walk down the aisle.
Actually now that I think about it there is only one man to thank. He is the announcer at that ski club. He was the one that made me get up on the stage in the first place. He was the man that started this beautiful and never-ending love.
Jack Bolton is taking my arm and walking me down the aisle. I wished my dad could but he died in a car accident when I was five. I know that he is watching his baby girl right now. He is with me in spirit. I am wearing the locket he gave me. I am also wearing the T necklace Troy gave me the summer before Lava Springs. But, I'm glad Jack is doing it. He is like my second father. I am really glad we are that close. We have a father daughter relationship. I can talk to him about anything and everything.
We are stopping at the edge of the aisle. He gives me a kiss on my right cheek and hands me to my future husband and then takes a seat next to his wife. I am now standing and staring into the familiar icy blue eyes I have grown used to seeing. I soon get lost in them and the next thing I know he is saying I do and sliding the ring onto my finger.
Now it's my turn. Obviously, I say I do and slip the ring onto his finger. Now he is leaning in so he can kiss his bride. As we pull apart the only thing I can think of is how lucky I got. I got to marry the love of my life…………Troy Bolton.
