Getting out of the cab Izzie took a deep breath as she prepared to walk towards the place where the love of her life had died, no not died more slipped away, after SHE Izzie Stevens had killed him.

She looked around stomach churning and she couldn't help but still feel as if the world was spinning around her really fast whilst she was stuck in slow motion, limbo just like Denny will have been when he died.

She gritted her teeth barely aware that George O Malley was beside her trying to think up an excuse as to why Callie shouldn't get a house key, barely noticing that Meredith Grey wasn't striding with confidence but was slightly hunched, lost in her thoughts.

They had the luxury of leading NORMAL lives.

It was alright for Meredith her troubles revolving around Finn and Derek, in fact it was unfair why should she have TWO people when she had none?

That was the point though, she had had someone, she'd had Denny an hour before he'd died he'd proposed to her.

She'd dared to believe that they would have a future together, she was so sure that her plan would work that they'd live their lives together.

It was so CRUEL!

It was a warm day with a slight breeze and her blonde hair fanned around her face in the slight breeze.

Beautiful blue sky, fluffy white clouds, it was a beautiful day and she wished so hard that she could turn back time and be walking to the hospital to see Denny, to tell him he was going to live.

To not be alone.

The hospital was in view now and Izzie stopped walking as her mind became flooded with the memories of her time here.

Her first day, when she'd been teased for modelling for Bethany Whisper, when she'd been shot down by Bailey, and now her last moments with Denny as he'd closed his eyes trusting before she failed him costing him his life.

"Izzie? Are you okay?" asked Meredith concerned.

Izzie looked at the hospital shaking the memories out of her mind.

Denny wouldn't want her to die inside, he'd want her to stay strong, to remember the good times they'd shared, to enjoy life to…live.

Izzie locked her chocolate brown eyes on to Meredith's blue- green ocean coloured irises.

She nodded nervously, looking at the hospital then back at Meredith, she thought of Bailey's promise, of the chief, of…Denny.

She couldn't give up she had to live, and she walked forwards to the hospital grateful to be alive…
