Painting a Picture of Ponies

For nearly a decade, one thing covered each shelf
Of toy stores all over the world.
At first Hasbro didn't even know itself
The enormity of what had unfurled.

What could create such a commotion you ask?
What childish splendor allure?
Why would thousands of children sit and bask
In the sight of plastic grandeur?

The item of such adoration is this,
The line of toys known as My Little Pony.
No other plastic horse exists
That admirers can't deem phony.

What makes these ponies distinctive?
What is it that gives them appeal?
Perhaps their array of colors that gives
Them their warm and so happy feel.

Every horse has a symbol that matches its name
In this ever so extensive set.
No two ponies are exactly the same,
The attention to detail unmet.

After ten years they would no longer line
the shelves of every store.
All the pony enthusiasts took up a whine
Begging and pleading for more.

Ten years have passed since the line retired
With the fans never ceasing their cause.
Now Hasbro has finally been inspired
The company receives enduring applause.
