Emily Prentiss was told to let her heart decide on what she wanted. Her heart decided that it wanted one Aaron Hotchner but she was not sure how Aaron Hotchner felt about her. She never should have gave in to what her heart wanted. If she hadn't then she would not be standing outside of Aaron's office. She could wait and tell him later but she knew that if she did that she would never do what she needed to do.
She took in a deep breath and knocked on Aaron Hotchner's door and then stepped in. "Do you have a couple minutes to talk Hotch?"
Aaron looked up and smiled when he heard Emily's voice. They were the very best friends and always seeing her brightened up his day. He knew he felt more for her but he was not going to put pressure on her by telling her just yet. He would tell her though that much he knew. He could not keep it a secret for forever and it was getting harder to keep it from her day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute and even second by second.
"Of course I do Emily. For you I have all the time in the world. Is there something wrong? Do you need something?" Aaron said with a slight smile on his face.
Emily shook her head and said "I just need for you to listen to me for a minute. I love you Aaron Hotchner and I have I think since I met you when I first started working here. I don't know if you feel the same way or if you could ever feel the same way about me as I feel for you. All I am asking is for you to take a look into your heart and that you let your heart decide on if you love me like I love you or if you could ever love me like I love you."
Aaron's heart started to beat fast and furious in his chest. It looked as if he did not have to wait another day, another hour, another minute or another second to tell Emily how he felt. He stood up from behind his desk and walked around it and then came to a complete stop in front of Emily and he then put his hands on her hips and pulled her flush against him.
"I love you too Emily. I have wanted to tell you for a while but I was afraid that I would be pushing you into something you did not want or something that you were not ready for. Not telling you how I felt was getting harder day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute and second by second. Now that I do not have to worry about sending you running I plan on telling you I love you every day for the rest of my life and yours. I plan on telling you I love you every hour and every second. You are my heart and soul Emily." Aaron said right before bending his head and giving Emily the sweetest and most tender kiss she has ever got from someone before.
