Upon hearing a sharp rap on his front door, America got up from his toys and toddled over to the door. "Hello?" he said, curiously. Standing on the porch is a tall man with slicked back blond hair and bright blue eyes.
"Hello. Is your big brother here?" the man's voice was deep, with a strong German accent.
"N-no sir, he's not."
"Will you tell him that I stopped by?" America remained silent. "Tell you what. If you let your bother know I came by, you can have this." The man reached into his jacket and pulled out something wrapped in paper and handed it to the boy.
"Is...is it to eat?" the boy asked hopefully. The man chuckled.
"Yes. I call it a hamburger." The boy unwrapped his treat and took a bite. His eyes light up in amazement.
"This is delicious! Thank you sir!"
And so it began.
A/N: So I did some thinking, and I remembered that it was invented in Texas, which America acquired after the Mexican War. Which was after the American Revolution. Therefore, America wouldn't be a chibi anymore. But come on, you know it's cute! Please excuse my historical inaccuracy, and coo over the fluffiness instead.
