Pinkie Promise
Third Person's POV:
At the moment Amber and Mara were sitting in the common room, Amber was trying not to glare at Mara, whereas Mara was trying to get Amber to catch her eye.
"Amber?" Mara asked.
"Yes Mara." Amber replied madly.
"Do you remember that time in pre-school when we were in the sandbox playing and Alfie and Jerome poured sand in your backpack?" Mara asked her.
"Of course! It was designer! Those dimwits. I still can't believe that they didn't pour sand in your backpack. Hmpf!" Amber replied glaring at the memory.
"Do you remember the romise we made to each other?" Mara questioned finally getting to the point.
"Yes, we pinkie promised that we would never ever stop being friends no matter what boy, or boys rather, were to come between us..." Amber said the last few words slowly, the real meaning of these few questions coming together in the blondes head.
"Oh Mara! I'm truly sorry! I don't know what else to say other than that I'm sorry! I ahve been a terrible best friend! Oh Mara please forgive me!" Amber begged her childhood best friend.
"Of course I forgive you Ambs." Mara answered.
"Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Amber said bouncing in place.
"What are friends for." Mara replied.
"Okay Mara there is something we need to do." Amber said becoming serious once again.
"I know exactly what you are talking about. Amber Millington, do you pinkie promise to always be best friends with me, Mara Jeffrey, no matter what any boy, or boys, may do?" Mara asked her.
"Of course. Now, do you, Mara Jeffrey, pinkie promise to always be best friends with me, Amber Millington, no matter what any boy, or boys rather, may do?" Amber said repeating the line to Mara.
"Yes of course!" replied Mara with a smile and she and Amber locked pinkies; sealing the deal once again.
