Nice to meet you, Ma'am

This is a quick one shot about Mothers Day for Ryou and Bakura.

Don't you want your lover to meet your mother and have their approval? Bakura sure wants Ryou's mothers approval, but how far will he go?

Nice to meet you, Ma'am

I watched as my lover starched and looked at the calendar on the wall. I heard him mutter under his breath. 'Mothers Day'. He turned to me and smiled. "No work and no shopping. Just us today."

I smiled in return and when back to my thinking. I had never heard of his mother. I knew he had one, but I had never spoken to her or heard Ryou talk about her except when it came to his childhood.

I watched as he walked to the kitchen to make coffee and breakfast. I smiled. He had once told me that it was his and his mother favorite thing to do together.

"Ryou?" I said as I walked down the hall to the kitchen. He looked up from filling up the coffee maker. "I wanna meet your mom."

I silence in the air was enough to smoother me. Ryou turned to me and with a sigh he told me his mother had died long ago. In a car crash. The same one to take his sister. The car crash driving his father to drinking and losing him as well in a months time.

I opened my mouth trying to form an apologize but could't. So I walked to Ryou and held him, mumbling my sorries.

Ryou looked up at me with a watery smile his doe eyes darkening with water.

I still wanted meet her. To thank her for giving me Ryou to have and hold in this lovely. "Her grave. Is it here?" I asked. Ryou nodded. "Let's visit it?" I asked him. He nodded and went to dress. I finished the coffee and did the same.

Within a hour getting dressed I was being walked down a long row of graves looking for one that shared the same last name as Ryou. I found it and smiled. Ryou placed his flowers on the grave.

I took in a deep breath.

"Nice to meet you Ma'am. I just wanted to thank you for Ryou. He is the other half of my soul." I sat on the grave and Ryou covered his mouth. "He makes me very happy. I know that he got several of his features from you and he is as beautiful as a god so you in turn must have been as well." Ryou let out a sob. I turned to him.

"I like your mother." I told him before turning to the grave. "I am deeply in love with him and I'm sure I would have loved you too. Thank you very much for your time. Happy Mothers Day Ma'am it was nice to meet you." I smiled at the grave and stood. Ryou wrapped his arms around me and sobbed slightly into my shirt.

"She would have loved you to." He said turning to look at the grave and whispering, 'Happy Mothers Day, Momma.'
