Chapter 1: Prologue
It was snowing and it has been snowing for a while now. Two pairs of sapphire eyes watched the snow fall on the window sill. One pair belonged to a young girl, her eyes blinked every three seconds. The other pair hardly blinked, they looked at each other.
"You know that guy I told you about, Dawn?" The older women asked, her light blue hair went past her chin. The younger, darker haired girl, smile.
"Yeah, your so-called 'boyfriend'? What about him?"
"He proposed to me a while back… That's all…" She said, oh so proud of the fact. Dawn's eyes lit up quickly, she squealed as her aunt showed her the pink diamond ring.
"So cute, oh my gosh, when's the wedding?" The excited ten-year-old asked quickly.
"I donno yet, soon I hope…" she replied.
"I wanna be your flower girl, so I can stand near you and the groom!" She shouted.
"Fine, but keep it down, I need to tell my sis later!"
"Can I meet him, or is he still in hoenn?" She wanted to meet her new uncle; she hoped he was a perfect man for her aunt.
"Soon… He's actually in Sinnoh visiting his nephews, you can meet him today!"
"So…" Dawn started dreamily, "What's he like?"
"He's tall and sweet and he's also the shy quiet type. His hair is a dark shade of brown, like his mother's he says. He's got two nephews, who live close. One's a bit older and the other is around your age." She winked at her niece; the young blunette's face grew red.
"N-no, that's gross, he's be my cousin!"
"But, I bet he looks just like his uncle! Cute and brown haired with pretty eyes." A ringing sound suddenly started, it was a pokegear, he aunt flipped it open.
"Hi, there, I was just talking about you~ Hey, I wanna introduce you to my adorable niece and I wanna meet your cute nephews! So is it alright to visit them?" Silence.
"Really, thank you~!" She sang before closing the pokegear.
"Johanna, I'm taking your daughter out somewhere, is that alright with you?" The mother sighed and nodded her head.
"Don't stay out too late!" Her younger sister waved, assuring the safety of her daughter. The door slammed very loudly and all the mother heard was the giggling of her two favorite people. Then she heard the car starting up and leaving.
The car drive was silent as they passed Pastoria; Dawn suddenly realized they were heading toward Vilestone City! She hoped not to see that purple-haired jerk anywhere.
"So, what happened to your friend, Ash?" The women started, desperate of conversation.
"Oh, he's at another region and Brock's a Pewter City. I wanted to visit Mom before I go to Hoenn." The drive to Vilestone didn't take very long, time passes quickly when you're weary…
"Auntie, do know who your nephews are?" She wanted to know if she was safe from Paul.
"Nope!" She laughed as the young girl rolled her eyes. They stopped in front of a familiar house; it seemed to be their destination. But who did it belong to?
"Dawn, come on sweetie." Her aunt san, she followed her to the door. A grinning young man opened the door before anyone could touch it. He hugged Dawn's aunt with happiness.
"It's nice to finally meet you, you're so cute!" He let go, extending his hand. "I'm Reggie, your new nephew!" The childish women shook his hand.
"I'm Joan and this is-"
"DAWN! It's nice to see you again!" The girl grew pale, if her aunt is marrying Reggie's uncle, then…
"Aunt Joan, you're marrying PAUL'S uncle?"
"Who's Paul?" The Pokemon trainer walked toward the doorway, he bowed to his soon-to-be aunt… He stared at the small blunette.
"What's SHE doing here?" He asked annoyed and confused.
"PAUL'S MY COUSIN!"
