"...Later, woman."

"But I'm sick of lying in this stupid field all day. Plus I'm hungry."

Shikamaru looked at her.

"Well I'm not."

"Hungry?"

"Sick of this place."

Temari sighed. There was no use trying to reason with a man as stubborn as him.

She was bored and hungry, so she did it anyway.

"You're not sick of it because you've more than likely just woken up."

Shikamaru answered by smiling.

She rolled her eyes. "I knew it. Why do I hang around you again?"

ShIkamaru looked as if he was trying to go back to sleep. "Because I'm your escort, and you have no other choice."

Temari frowned. "Oh yeah."

She stood up. "Well as my escort, you should be following me."

He yawned. "Wrong. You are following me."

She crossed her arms. "Fine then. Maybe I should just find a new escort that doesn't just lie around all day."

"Maybe."

Her arms dropped to her sides. Reverse psychology didn't work on this guy.

She sat back down.

Shikamaru smirked. "What? Didn't want to leave my side?"

Temari rolled her eyes. "No, I just want to keep an escort I can freely hurt."

He looked at her. "Aren't you nice?"

"Very."

Shikamaru went back to trying to sleep.

This is getting me nowhere, she thought.

She sighed. "Come on, Shikamaru."

He turned around to look at her. His mistake.

She gave him her best possible pouting face, leaning closer towards him.

Shikamaru did his best not to blush.

"Can we please go get something to eat?"

He didn't know what else to do.

Shikamaru breathed out slowly. "Alright, fine."

He got up and Temari followed him.

"You know something?" Shikamaru said, walking on. "I hate it when you do that."

She rubbed her face, as if trying to take the stupid expression she used off. "And you know what?" she replied.

"I hate it when I do that too."

End.
