I was in one of those moods again where I was upset by nothing and everything. I was curled up in a ball on my bed with the lights on. Tears stained my cheeks as I thought about home. Not this home of course, but back in Arizona. I missed everything all over again.
Everything was so quiet and so still in Forks all the time that I really did just miss my mothers bantering. I heard something at my window but didn't make the effort to look up. A few seconds later I felt someones arms around me. I didn't react to Edward trying to comfort me. He didn't say a word and neither did I. We just stayed like that for a little while.
Finally I sat up and leaned against my boyfriend's cold arm and he kissed my forehead. His lips on my skin were soothing.
"Why don't we go to the meadow. You know that always makes you feel better."
"But it's late and it's raining."
"And?" he asked leaning closer to look in my eyes.
I got up pulled a sweater off my floor and then opened my window wider. I jumped up in Edward's arms and he jumped out easily carrying me. He put me on my feet and I looked up at the sky as raindrops fell all around me. He helped me onto his back and one second I was feeling the raindrops on my skin and the next moment we were going to quickly to give the rain a chance to fall, at least that's what it felt like.
The woods were dark so instead of looking out into them and scaring myself I pressed my face against Edward's neck. He turned his head to kiss my cheek as he raced through the trees. It seemed like we were about to hit every tree but of course we never did and never would.
Edward took me off his back and on to the floor when we reached our meadow. My shoes sunk into the damp grass. Edward sat down and then pulled me on top of his lap.
I turned to kiss his lips and he kissed me back gently. Soon his kisses began to trail off my lips and down my jaw line. He reached my ear and whispered "I love you my sweet Bella." This was where I wanted to be.
A/N: I get this is probably the shortest thing you ever read. I haven't written fan fiction in exactly a year but I really want to start again. This was just my way of getting a small step back into it before jumping into a novel.
