Octavian Country Day School

Normal Point of View

Massie Block was walking down the hallway when Claire Lyons stepped up to her

"Massie! You have to help me! This is URGENT!" Claire shouted with a note of urgency in her voice.

"What is it Kuh-laire?"

"Well, Linda texted me during art and told me that Cam thought I was too boring for him, and that he is going to break up with me!"

"I won't hold it to you, but everyone knows Linda adores Cam and desperately wants you two to break up."

"Wow, Massie. I guess that slipped my mind. Thanks so much. You are a lifesaver. Bye!" After Claire walked down the hallway, Massie ran to the Starbucks kiosk. Just then a group of girls walked up to her. Of course, Massie was used to this.

"Massie!! You and Derrick are so cute together! What happened on Saturday?" the girls chorused and cooed.

"Well, that's for us to know!" Massie responded. She hated sounding so secretive, but she couldn't spill the beans. It was only Monday!! She didn't even write her famous blog yesterday.

She immediately rushed to Alicia who was standing next to Dr. Juice. "Alicia, this Friday we have so much to catch up on!! Also, I have to share my Derrington story!!"

"OMG!! No way!! I have a story to share, too!" Alicia shared with Massie.

"With who?!?!" Massie questioned. She always had to be the first to know gossip.

"You'll have to wait and see," Alicia responded with a sly grin. Kirsten walked up to them at that moment.

"You guys won't believe this!! There is another group of A-list girls who go to Parletry School, the other all girl private school. The girls are going to start goin here tomorrow!! Isn't that exciting?"

"Exciting?" Massie shouted as thoughts raced through her head at full speed. "Those girls could take over the school!"

"Don't worry, Massie. One of them is my cousin, Kaylin. She's really nice and her friends are too. We'll all get along so well!! I'm so excited!"

"Oh, ok," Dylan said as she walked into the circle. The girls realized she was on her phone. "I just got off the phone with Chris."

"Wait a sec." Massie said. "I thought you didn't like him anymore."

"Well, ever since I knew he admired girls who ate, I just have to get him back."

"That's great Dylan, but we also have some other news," Massie mumbled with anger.

"Yeah," Kristen and Alicia said simultaneously. "Apple-C!" they both chorused again, neither of them noticing Massie's bad attitude towards this subject.

Kristen filled Dylan in while the girls walked to third period.
